As a big shinedown fan.. I listen to shinedown hours and hours a day and really evaulate there songs and in my opinion Someday will be there big breakthrough song for all music listeners because you can really understand what the song means and it was brents awesome voice! not my favorite song but I think its the one to watch.

Yes thats what i have been thinking also.
The song has all the elements of a song that can reach many. Mostly because everyone has suffered from a loss of a friend or lover who never gave them a chance.

Thank God! lol As you see in alot of people messages shinedown a gift and that I believe as well.. Someday will be shinedown breakthrough mark my word.. Listen to nickelback,staind,chilipeppers, older bands like creed,fuel. they have a meaning. shinedowns meanings are just deeper and you have to listen over and over to get it. then your like oh oh ok..

That's why I like to read the lyrics for bands like SD, it helps me understand the meaning of the songs better. Listening to it while not doing something else helps too.

That's the thing about SD, thier lyrics reach into your soul and pull it out. It's just one of the many things that draw people to this band. I can't tell you how many times I have seen or heard people say that "shinedown saved my life"... know why IT'S TRUE! It's the lyrical kick in the face that someone out there truly understands you and has expressed it for you.

Even though "hero's" is the next single.. the follow up should be "someday"

From what people on here say heroes is next.. But I dont believe it will do as good, I have my hopes up and want it to do great! Hell I just wish every had heard of shinedown because when I tell someone about them they have never heard of them...

Someday is too slow in my opinion. They need a new single to just rock out to and Heroes will do well!

Jen I agree they need a rocking single. We could all be pleasently suprised by this song. Who knows?! But let's make sure we pound our local stations to get them to play this song.

Dont get me wrong I want heroes to be awesome but im not sure.. I have done my part and will continue to. I was able to get ralieghs g105 to play shinedown and now they are being requested by others alot.. by the way thats 300,000 new people who have never heard of shinedown until now...

I forgot to mention that station plays mostly billboards top 40.... mostly pop stuff like rihanna,kellyclarkson,nickelback,shikira exe.. I think its awesome they have shinedown!

i would love to hear some day, its my fav song on UAT (though carried away has a good spot in my heart too) anyways... i agree the hard rock is always a good thing, but look at LAW the record was only selling mediocrially, then they relased simple man and the album took off, ppl really go for the "rock ballads" and i think this would tend to have the same effect... so far the 3 singles off UAT are "hard rock" maybe they should switch it up

carried away would hit number 1 and would be shinedowns biggest hit... why its not chosen I have no idea break another big hit.. but songs on the cd Shed some light/beyond the sun. 2 more hits.. I dont get it

That doesn't mean anything. A lot of Shinedown's singles have started off that way and eventually they get towards the top.
