What a weekend, saw Chevelle Friday night in Louisville, and Shindeown & Disturbed in Indy on Saturday night. Brent voice was jacked up during the performance. He sounded great when he sang his higher notes but his lower notes struggled. He sounded like he was either losing his voice or he was sick. At one point I noticed him drift towards the back of the stage and he was looking towards eric and pointing to this throat. A few minutes later he actually walked out of view. I hope he feels better soon. They put on a hell of a performance. I have seen them five times since Sound of Madness was release and six times since last year and this is the first time that they played Call Me live when I was there. They seemed to switch the playlist up a bit which was cool. I am heading to Evansville IN to see them with Halestorm, Chevelle and Staind in July. Cant wait.

Awesome! Bad to hear Brent might have voice trouble, hope it's not too serious.

Also, what was the set list?

Xfest not till later in the year Wink. This was the May Day by X103. Anyways, twas a very heart-felt performance. Sadly, my very first time to see Shinedown live, but definitely not my last!

I felt Brent was getting a little upset at the crowd because no one seemed to be getting into the music much at first. They played about 3 or 4 from Sound of Madness and then went way back and played .45 and I was thinking another old one as well. He took a couple moments to have a bit of a motivational speech during two of the sets which I felt was incredible!

Brent, I felt like you were talking directly to me and I thank you for the words.

After your set, the sky was still covered in clouds with no stars... during the Disturbed set, I looked up to find a small break in the clouds only to find one, brightly shining star...

Guess we gave her good direction! Smiler

From where i was sitting, the crowd seemed very loud the entire time. That concert was nuts! How many people do you think were there?

We were at the Indy show and DID see him go over to a sound guy once who then phoned someone else..maybe a sound issue?
Got to meet them after the show via the fanclub meet and greet...NICEST GUYS IN THE WORLD! VERY GRACIOUS WITH THEIR TIME!
Just a thought tho regarding Brent's singing. Does anyone else notice how when he hits the high notes he moves the mic way away from his mouth and you cannot hardly hear him? I have mentioned this before..and it bugs me.....kind of washes out the high notes...
Gonna see them in Evansville too for our 6th show since last November.

I have never heard anyone say anything bad about them after meeting them. They are always gracious to their fans. I still think there was more to it then the sound. Though I suppose the mic could have cut out. I have just seen them so many times that I know what they are capable of and if their performance is even a little off, I tend to notice it. I am not being critical of them as I say that, they put on a fantastic show. I wasn't drinking because I drove a couple of hours to the show so maybe that played a part in it as well. The Evansville show is gonna rock! Staind and Chevelle plus Shinedown....That is a great blend of styles and sounds.
