I used to be a HUGE fan of Shinedown, until I bought this latest CD. Seriously, WHAT THE HECK HAPPEDED??? Except for Devour NONE of these songs rock at all. Shinedown has gone totally mainstream and now they're crying about how their girlfriends left them and they can't sleep?? OMG, I am so disappointed, gone are Bret's powerful lyrics(and voice for that matter) Gone is the wicked music they always had...Shinedown just dropped from number one all the off my top 10 list even. Shinedown sucks now. Go rock with some other boy bands when you go on tour why don't ya? UGH!!

wow, only one song is a love song...also this album has one of the best lyrics i ever read on an album...Tell me how Sin with a Grin, Sound of Madness, Cynicde Sweet Tooth Suicide, Cry for Help are not rock songs...

Im not sure why Im really responding, it may be my drugs kicking in finally but hey what the hell. Couple things here. A. you either need spell check or youre stupid its Brent not Bret =) and nextly all youre doing is saying it sucks and blah blah blah quite honestly I think maybe you should sit down and actually read the lyrics. thirdly if you only knew has nothing to do with being left its more of they miss them... good Lord I need to go to bed im getting shitty lol

Just listen to the CD over and over. I used to hate it but after I listened to the CD a couple of times it got better.

And there is still powerful lyrics. TRUST ME I too used to hate the CD... I was really disappointed. Easy on her she just used to like Shinedown but started to think they suck (which is wrong) and she is expressing her opinion. Yeah She's exaggerating but so are you. Everyone else is able to state their opinion, why should this one be any different? Because you don't agree? I don't agree with a lot of you but you don't see me calling you names and telling you how stupid you are.

I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!! Shinedown is the greatest band ever and the new album makes them that much greater!! I'm sure we both agree that this is by far the record of the year!! It is a beautiful compilation of music ever recorded!! I love it!! |

the original post was ridiculous but the way some of you respond is even more ridiculous. Let them have their opinion. I hated this record at first too but its grown on me. Still hate "Sin With a Grin" "Breaking Inside" and "Cry For Help" the rest is pretty damn good except the lyrics in "Cyanide...", they're terrible and stupid but the melody is cool in that song.
