Is it just me or does the chorus/hook of Breaking Inside have a distinctly country feel to it?

It could just be a particular country song I am hearing but I can't seem to place it.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

I don't think it sounds country at all. It's amazing though, and as a song it's beautiful.

Ok TuneLab nailed it in their review. It's "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter that I'm hearing. Never would have figured it out without that cause I'm not a country fan at all. Must have just heard this song on the radio and such.

There's rappers listed on CMT, so I don't think that means anything. And no, I'm not feeling a country vibe from it.

I don't like this song in the least. I'm hoping at least one of the bonus tracks will make up for it.

"Tell my mother, tell my father; I've done the best I can. Make them realize, this is my life. I hope they understand."

"Once I knew a preacher - to his faith he said "goodbye"."

Yeah maybe they'll be doing duets with Chad Kroeger soon too, I can hardly wait...

I'm not being nasty but there is no way the ONE song that is terrible on the CD should be made into a single! It bothers me I tell you.

I agree. Big time. And it's not "Bad Day" I'm thinking of. It is similar, but the country thing I believe is either Sugarland or Carrie Underwood. I can't think of the song, but I live in Mobile, Country is dominant down here. My mom loves both Shinedown and Sugarland and whatnot. She'll know what i'm thinking of. I'm,m getting her on it. I personally really enjoyed the song. I hear Brent Smith singing and Shinedown playing, not Daniel Powter. It is common to hear music that at times may sound the same. The lyrics in Breaking Inside are powerful and meaningful. Yes there are better on the CD but I would not call this song trash by any means
