I read this in a blog on Lizzi's Conecrt for a Cure's myspace.

It makes total sense. I love it!


Hey everyone! So I know this isn't concert related or anything... but I thought of this and thought I might as well share it with y'all. And I know this may make me sound like I'm on some sort of drug... but I'm not. Probably the migraine that I have right now.

So I believe that fireworks are like life. There are so many ways to look at them, and there are so many ways to look at life. Some people think fireworks/life are beautiful. Some think they are annoying. Some think that they are there... just because. I'm one of those people that thinks fireworks are a beautiful thing.

So then after that... I believe that each firework is like an individual person in the world. You start as just a bud going into the air... and then you have that moment in life where you explode into something, and someone that you will be forever. After that, you fall back to the ground.

When a child is born (or a firework is sent into the air), you have no idea what it will turn out like. You hope it will be beautiful and successful, but sometimes they go bad and never turn into anything. There are people in this world that never become anything good. They are just duds. But usually the fireworks work and turn into something wonderful. I think most people in this world are wonderful people. There are just a few that you see and go "Aww what a shame."

I think each person should have a time in their life when they burst into something amazing. There is that defining moment... or a "BOOM" and there is something wonderful. I believe that I've had my BOOM through producing this concert. I grew up... and until now, nobody knew what I would turn out as. Would I be a dud? Or would I be something beautiful? That defining moment is where we found out.

I think everyone in this world should try for a defining moment... if each person had a moment when everyone went "Wow... she/he is an amazing person." I think this world would be a better place.

And sure, we have those days or moments in life when we go "Shit this day is going to suck" (or at least I have a lot of those)... but that doesn't mean the day has to suck! I've turned around many days that I thought would be bad, and they have turned out to be amazing.

Think of what you were given when you were born into this world. You were given a chance to shine. So go out and do it.

And I know that anyone who went or goes to Eden Prairie High School will be groaning at this point... but it actuallly fits the situation.

"Make it a great day. Or not. The choice is yours."

I swear I must have been on crack that night or something. That was a weird thing for me to analyze and discuss...
