Sorry but his songs sound like other songs so much it's not even funny.

Brittany's Song-sounds much like "Seasons" off Good Charlotte's first album.

Why Can't I Talk To You-sounds much like an acoustic version of "Graduation".

The only one that's acceptional is How Do You Feel? It doesn't sound like any song that comes to mind.

None of his songs sound like any Good Charlotte songs. Why Can't I Talk To You sounds like the graduation song only because of the music. Both songs are to the tune of Canon by Pachebel. You shouldn't judge music just cause it kinda sounds like something else. But thanks for listening anyway.

Did you hear Good Charlotte's first album since you said they "suck"? I'm assuming not.

I just don't like an artist that has almost the same kind of melody of another song. It's not original music. I'd respect him if he had his own melodies to his song and not just for one song. I think he has potential though.

I beleive what you meant to say was that the chord progression was the same as that other song not the melody. "Brittany's Song" is not the same kind of melody as that Good Charlotte song. The only thing they have in common is that they use the chord C in their chord progressions. And to say that someone is not original for using Canon is completly ridiculous. The Graduation song was not the first song to use that melody. The original is Canon by Pachebel or otherwise known as Canon in D. This song is considered "public domain" which means anyone can use it because it is not copy written. Many "artists" have used the melody. The Trans Siberian Orchestra plays it as well as uses it for a Christmas song, Vitamin C uses it for her song "Graduation (friends forever)", and it is used in the church hymn "Seek Ye First" In my opinion, someone has to know very little about music to say that someone who uses Canon is not an original artist.

This page shows a list of songs in which artists used this song or where influenced by this song. And by the way... all of the chords in the chord progression of "Why Can't I Talk To You" are not the same. Canon in C (which is also not the original. The original is in the key of D) uses F where he uses Dm. Also the melody and the counter melody from the guitar solo in this song sound nothing like Canon or Graduation.

Well to me, it just sounded similar. That's all. I wasn't really comparing chords. I don't know what Canon is and all that jazz. I was saying by sound. It's just my opinion. And I did not know about the copy written stuff, etc. So, sorry about that.
