Yay! Good idea! Woo! Okay, here's my song I just finished writing like a minute ago. Haha. It's about how we all live in a bad place and nobody is doing anything about it. And I just don't like living in a bad place. Tell me what you think!

"Save Me"

Verse-I see torture in disguised faces,
Murder in untied laces.
Nothing quite safe for me.
I see racism in some people's minds,
Sexism is still around.
Nothing quite great for me.

Bridge-When it's game over,
It'll be too late.
And when it's ignored longer,
No one will step up the pace.

Chorus-Save me from this world we live in,
Burning is this hole inside of me.
Wishing from the bottom of my soul,

Getting imagery that is showing grey.
Sitting in my mind thinking,

Verse-I see homelessness in crowded cities,
Hopelessness in our country.

I see suicide in their expressions
Diseases are still not yet treated.

Thanks guys! Okay, here's another one. I really wanted to write a song that has figurative language(symbolism, etc.) so I finally made one. It's about drinking and smoking. Enjoy! And of course, opinions are appreciated.

"He'll Be Alright"

Verse-He thinks it's cool, he thinks it's fun
Drinking with all of his friends.
What's he gonna do, momma finds out
Flipping out scared for his life.
Dad comes in, sees the horror
Throwing that bottle 'till it hits the wall.

Bridge-That shine comes from the light,
His body comes within.
Poison overflows.

Chorus-From the light of the hands, to the back corner of his head,
His eyes are dim until the room turns white.
Starts down from shadowed legs to bright broad shoulders,
God guides him to the right side.
Hoping and pleading please, he'll be alright.

Verse-He smokes a few, he gets a tattoo
Coughing with his crew.
Does a dance or two, stuck in the blue
Gazing out at the sunshine.
Takes some wine, feels that spine
Touching the glass that suddenly breaks.

Bridge-That shine comes from the light,
His body comes within.
Tragedy snowballs.

[Chorus]

Verse-His face closes in a narrow path,
Back in black where it began.
Months pass and wishes he never did it,
In a narrow tunnel he sees a finger,
Brighter and brighter, mightier as ever.
He reaches for it.

Bridge-That shine comes from the light,
His body comes within.
Saying it's for real.

The light(aka white) represents good and black represents bad. That's how it usually is. And the finger represents God's finger trying to reach out and help him.

PS: My grandpa was a professional songwriter so maybe I got my good writing skills from him.

Wow, no replies? Oh well...here's another one...it's called "This Is My Dream". The message is to always stick with your goals in life and go for it no matter what. Any comments would be appreciated for "He'll Be Alright"(last post) and this one.

and the second ones really beautiful..i can see a lot of people relating to the one which is a great thing!!
