Rob, as always, thank you for your constant concern for your fans. I am always proud to be your fan and this time is no different.

However, your twitter comment today that "THE ABSOLUTE BEST FAN CLUB SEATS were given to the NON PACKAGE peeps" couldn't be more wrong. I have friends that tried for tickets to your New York shows and couldn't pull up anything better than the 24th row. As soon as they went for packages, they were suddenly thrust up to within the first 10 rows. While I understand that the NJ/NY/CT market is HUGE for you, and I will be honest that I don't know how it worked for other markets, it should have been done fairly for every show.

I have seen your shows from the rafters and I have seen your shows from the front row. I have enjoyed every single show. If I didn't I would have stopped a long time ago and I wouldn't be doing another 8 shows on your upcoming tour. But there's no denying that there's nothing better than the personal attention you give to the peeps up front. We enjoy it. It makes us happy. After every show there is always someone who gushes over a smile or a wink or a look that you gave to them. That's all we want, not extended FC memberships or store coupons. A 10% discount in the FC store is nothing when they tack on 20% to cover the cost of shipping.

I'm sorry that people were rude and disrespectful to you on Twitter. And I'm sorry that you even had to deal with this issue. But thank you for listening to our concerns and checking into things. You're a good man, Rob, and I have great respect for you.

I think that it is time to rise up against the promoters.......isnt everyone tired of paying these ridiculous prices??? seriously...it has gotten out of hand....if it's not these outrageous packages they offer...it's the scalpers and big corporations with connections that are getting the good seats...the true fans who are working for the man for minimum wage who are getting shafted........

I think with the economy those that have the money to belong to a fan club and can afford tickets to a concert should consider themselves blessed. Instead of complaining, try being happy for what you have.
The last concert for a major artist that I was able to attend was back in 1988!!! And it was a country singer (not naming names) and the only way I was able to go was because my grandmother bought a ticket for me and one for her and we sat so far away we needed binoculars, however we didn't know that because neither of us had been to a concert before so we couldn't even see him! However, I was just glad that I actually got to go to a concert. So suck it up you bunch of whinning babies!

Look dumbass, I CAN afford to join the fanclub and I DID join the fanclub.
My complaint against the FANCLUB was the crappy seats offered to us for the Mohegan Sun.

I'm overjoyed that I will be able to see Rob just once on this tour.
I'm so very thankful to be going.
Because I LOVE Rob Thomas and his music.

I will however, complain as much as I fricking feel like it about the fact for the first time EVER I was not able to buy a decent seat through the FANCLUB.
And for the god knows how many times, I will say it again....
I do not and NEVER expected front row seats because I was in the fanclub!

Bring on the tour!!!

Hey Rob! Haven't read anything in here but your post and now that I think about it, think I will keep it that way.
NO idea what happened on twitter, haven't been around twitter all that much lately and not at all today, but anyhoo......I guess something did happen.

I bitched/complained and probably would again if the same thing happened. I'm a woman, it's my prerogative.
It was bullcrap to log on right at 10 and be told there were no tickets for sale, not even the nosebleeds for a few minutes.
I did so-so for one show and excellent for another (thank you AAT lady for helping me out, YOU rock)....I think there is some stuff that needs to be handled better with AAT (example: codes not working, no tickets for the first few minutes, etc...) but they have great contests
I have won a couple of contest (one when AAT was MBT's FC) and got some AWESOME stuff in the mail that I wasn't even expecting from AAT/Street prop. So that's pretty cool.
Sorry you went through whatever you went through on twitter......still not sure what that is, but I'm guessing you have more important things on your mind right now than what is happening on twitter. I think it's great you took the time out to address your fans about this FC situation. The people on THIS BOARD love you to pieces and TOTALLY respect you and your music. We come to this board because we are fans.

Thank you for looking into this, so sorry you feel you have to deal with this when you are going through such a hard time. I didn't have a very good experience with the ticketing process, but the FC themselves have been very kind and helpful. The shows I couldnt get a ticket to, or if I did I found one way back in row 25 or so, being on right when they go on sale. However if I pulled up a package I brought up first and second row a lot, all within the 1st 10 rows.

I am glad to ear that there are going to be some great perks, i was not aware of them. Thank you for listening to your fans and trying to make us all happy.

As always, Rob, thank you for addressing concerns and complaints and issues. You are always a peach in trying to make things good and right for your fans.

No complaints from me now because what's done is done. The presales are over and it's really a moot point now. I got great seats for one show without having to buy a package, but I didn't get any for another show I wanted to attend. And, like some others, I caved when I couldn't get what I consider a "good" seat and I paid the package prices. I'll be in your fanclub for years and years to come with my "additional year" with each so you are stuck with me There's a reason the seats up front cost more and have packages attached - they are the most desireable to the large majority of concert goers. Whether in fanclubs or not.

The answer you received from AAT really paints them in a very favorable light and that's their "reality". Fans aren't lying about problems and concerns and issues. I didn't see any of the crap thrown your way on twitter today and I'm real sorry you had to be subjected to nastiness there. There's a way to express your unhappiness about this issue without resorting to name calling and being totally irrational.

I can't speak for anyone but myself when I say that all I want from any fanclub as far as concerts is an opportunity to get one of those desireable seats without a bunch of stuff attached to it that I don't want. The packages are great for people who want them, no argument there, but when a lot of the desireable seats at a venue can't be had without paying for all the extras then that's my issue. And it can be prettied up and numbers can be spouted about percentages and contractual mumbo jumbo, but the fan's "reality" is that more seats than not have packages attached to them. Yes, some did get good seats without packages, I got one, but this isn't the case for all venues nor for all fans. Right now, there are people who want tickets to some shows and there are none available. They don't want to or can't afford to pay for a package, but there are still many package seats available. This, to me, seems wrong and seems like the "fan"club hold seats are skewed more to the packages.

And lest anyone think I am an ungrateful, whiney asshole, I'm not. I feel very fortunate that I can attend more than one show and that I can, at this time, pay more for good seats to a couple of shows I want to attend. I fully understand about people struggling and some can't even make it to one show. If I had the resources for it I'd buy huge lots of tickets to shows and give them away because right now a lot of people could use the happiness derived from a great concert. And we all know there's nothing like the high after a Rob Thomas concert

I was one of the "naysayers" on twitter today. I tweeted Rob and told him the VIP packages suck. Of course I've sent 100 "positive" tweets, but he chose to respond to this one, go figure.

With only 140 characters I wasn't able to express how I felt eloquently.

I am extremely lucky that I am able to travel and go to many shows.

I expressed my frustration today, because I was not able to get anything better than 16th row with fan club pre-sale, so I bought a VIP package, I got 10th row...

6 days after I purchased my expensive VIP 10th row tickets, I was able to get a 3rd row center ticket through AMEX preferred seating.

I am a die hard (just got "RT" tattooed on me!) I just felt that if I'm paying $350+/tic I should have a better seat than American Express would offer.

I feel awful that I wasted Rob's time with my complaint, I know it really has nothing to do with him.

I was just frustrated, I know he has a lot of fans, I wasn't looking for front row, just thought out of 5 shows, I would have come up better, for at least one.

Thanks to AMEX I have.

I am lucky, shouldn't complain!! Sorry Rob!

Did you keep trying for tix? I got that message too but kept on going back in and finally got tix. It took about 15 min of trying but it worked out in the end. I've learned that Ticketmaster is best mastered with a lot of patience.

I did try, yep, but its ok, I took defeat for that morning....I am not one of the complainers by any means, my first mention of this was on this board after I saw the tweet to check it out. I am sad, yup, but I know that it will happen if I am meant to be there, always does.

Yeah, I had no idea the FC had free M&G to every show until I read Rob's twitter today. Now I'm kind of excited!
