I heard this on tv yesterday and it did strike me that it was odd to have your song playing over it. I hope you are able to pull it.

I don't think anyone here even thought for a second you, or anyone else in the band would have approved of that! Now....Go get 'em! Big Grin

how frustrating, sorry to hear that, i would have thought that someone in the campaign office would make it a priority to check the approval of the songwriter or would they just assume you'd be sooo overjoyed about getting air play that it didn't matter what they were pushing?? Confused
the upside is at least they've can recognise a good song when they hear it, not all is lost then lol Big Grin

have a happy friday
enjoy the day

I'd like to see the actual ad, Rob. Did you see it? I looked on a website that lists all current ads for all candidates and doing a quick search couldn't find where they used How Far We've Come. Here's the website so you can go see if you can find the ad:

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/politicalads/years/2008/

Good Morning America used How Far We've Come as the background music for their "50 States in 50 Days" tour and McCain was a guest on the train either yesterday or day before yesterday.

If you know where to find it on youtube or someplace else, let me know cuz I'd really like to see it.

Thanks again for the great shows at Myth, Bahamas and Connecticut and I'm looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks Smiler

I also want to see the ad. Is it really out there? Is it from McCain or maybe just someone backing McCain? I'll believe it when I see it.

So glad you found out and took action, Rob!!! Right on!!!

So far it looks like that ad was run in Indiana (my friend) and California (that "lahereicome" posted, I think??). Wonder where else.

At least you're in good company with all the artists that had to fight the copyright violation and deceptive tactics.

Thanks for posting, Rob!!!

Thank you, Rob, for sharing your music and your Self with the World - it REALLY needs it!!!
