Too funny about HFWC.

Yes, it is. The one they were going to use anyway. They have a new one they are just finishing up, but it won't be done in time. First "event" there is an Eagles concert in 3 weeks. I imagine parking around campus was an issue as well. Bass Pro, and its surrounding parking lots consist of many acres.

If Rob were a McCain supporter, I suspect a rather large number of people here would be McCain supporters also.

I suspect your suspection would be incorrect.

Smiler I've voted democrat pretty much all my voting life...much longer than my knowledge of who Rob Thomas is or who he would vote for in an election. So no soothy...I think you've got it wrong.

They should view it as a compliment that the people hearing the song are enjoying it (ie the people at the rally or whatever), not what the views are of the people enjoying it. I don't fully understand the laws that say you can't play someone's music in a public place (?) without getting permission. I don't know where that line is crossed from just a group of people enjoying a song, to somehow needing the artist's permission. But yes, if there is a clear law on that, they definitely should follow it. But if that is done properly, why would the artist care who is enjoying their music. I would never think an artist supports a politician just because their song was used as part of a rally of some sort. I would only think that if they personally appeared. I hope it doesn't bother Rob Thomas that I enjoy listening to his music, even though I'm a person who has conservative views, very different from his.

I have to say that this sums it up in a nutshell.
