There are alternatives to treat your pup Tyler. A website has been set up to hopefully get your attention and help you make the right choices in terms of Tyler's health and his fight against cancer. Please take a look at

I read about Tyler with a snoozing foster kitten lounging across my left arm. My pets are my babies, and I have too many because I foster and then worry that they won't have worthy homes. Tyler has been very blessed by being a part of your family, and he will live on within you forever. I'm sorry for the terrible news. I hope your remaining time together will be joyful. God Bless You for all you do for His creatures.

I am so very sorry to hear about Tyler. I have just qualified as a vet and it doesn't get any easier seeing such loved animals and having to break that bad news. Having been through this before with my own, I know how you must be feeling. We watched our beloved Ted go downhill slowly over two months until we knew the day had come when we had to let go. Even now, 2 years later, I can barely say his name without shedding a tear.
'Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole' No truer words could be said. My dad has a bumper sticker on his car which reads "the more people I meet, the more I love my dog!" Enjoy this time with Tyler and try not to think of the inevitable, he won't be! All the best. *Lucy* It's never easy and you never know, What leaves you crying, And what makes you whole... |

Hi Rob:
My name is Amy and it is important for you to get in touch with Ted Schneck of Curing Canine Cancer. He sent me an email of how he may get in touch with you. The link below is specically for you along with phone numbers where you can get intouch with Ted. Currently I am fighting this ugly beast with my baby boy Thunder, who will be 4 sunday July 26th. He was diagnosed the day before Christmas with Canine Lymphoma Stage IVa. We opted for Chemo but I have been in contact with Ted throughtout this time. Thunder was in remission upon completion of the second treatment. He finished his protocol on June 8, 2009. As of July 3rd he came out of remission. There is no more money to help my baby boy so we have him on prednisone. He is doing well and we are making lots of memories. There maybe only a few weeks or a month but we are making the most of things. If you need a great support group there is the yahoo Lymphomaheartdogs group which I belong to. Ted Schnecks Site For You http://www.reachingouttorob.co...Teds_Invitation.html I know what you are going through. If you have any questions and can not get intouch with Ted right away, please email me. I want to help in anyway I can. Sincerely, Amy and Thunder (Living Strong with Lymphoma) I have attached a picture of Thunder taken this past Spring. ![]() |

I'm extremely sorry to hear about your doggie (best friend) Tyler. I will not lie that what you are and will be going through is tough. I lost my beloved greyhound last year and had a hard time understanding "why" these things have to happen. I wish that our pets could live as long as us humans My heart breaks for you and your wife and of course for Tyler. The good thing is that Tyler has a great home with you guys and knows he is loved. I asked my sister why dogs have to die and she said that "If our dogs lived as long as us, most of us would not be able to save another". I know it's hard right now to even consider loosing Tyler, or getting another dog for that matter. I can't help but to cry as I write this. Our dogs certainly are true members of the family. My prayers and thoughts are with Tyler and your family.
P.S. Tyler is a handsome boy and looks extremely happy and blessed. |

Still keeping all of you in our prayers. We had a scare last night with our Chester, had to take him to a 24 hour emergency vet and we're very thankful that his tests came back normal. Chester has returned to his normal, yappy-happy self today, but the vet thinks he may have an underlying benign condition that's affecting his balance. Thank God my husband noticed the symptoms and we were able to get him in to see the vet at 2:00 this morning. Our little buddy is so special to us, just as Tyler is to you. Our thoughts and love continue to be with you. Stay strong.

I have not written for a long time, but I've been very close to the board, reading you GD'ers and I keep calling you "my international friends " ( a lil silly I know).... now I read this... and I had to write to support you Rob and every one who is on the same situation. I'm of those people who things that a Dog isn't just a Dog; because my dear Winnie is my soul mate, my sister, my guardian, my angel.... A few months ago Winnie had surgery, and it was the longest hours of my entire life.... now she's well and I thank God she's here with me right now... so I can imagine what Mary and you Rob are feeling right now... (((((TYLER)))))) Hugs from Gran Canaria for everyone. Keep spreading the Mb20 Love!!!!!! and... *whispers* yourobyourobyourob Kisses http://robthomasspain.bravehost.com <----- has changed!!!!!!!! My heart breaks, not only for Tyler, but for you and Mari as well. No dog could ask for a better set of parents. Dogs just don't live long enough...terrible shame. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so very sorry to read of Tyler's illness. I do know how very hard it is to see our little fur babies sick. To even think of having to say good bye is devastating. I lost my beloved Mokabean 6 years ago, much too soon, and I miss her every single day. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you hoping for a miracle for little Tyler.
Much love, Karen You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him. ~Leo Aikman http://www.myspace.com/mokabean |
