I'm so sad....I know how much it hurts to see your baby suffer....my cat ..Jimmy Choo..had fallen ill...they put him on antibiotics and when he didn't get better we tested him for kitty leukemia.....the doc came back with the news that he had it....I was crying hysterically in the vets office..I don't think the vet knew what to do with me....he wanted me to put him down...I refused...I insisted on more anitbiotics (even though he didn't get better on them...he didn't get worse...so I thought more would help)...and he told me "that's wishful thinking". Well, one year later..Jimmy Choo is healthier than ever...miracles can happen...I will totally pray for your baby Tyler..

I think that Elle said it best for me (((Elle)))...I didn't expect to come here this morning and sit in front of my computer and cry, but my god my heart is breaking for you My girls are truly my daughters, I can't sleep at night if they aren't with me and I've never had more accepting and trusting beings in my life...I'd be lost without them...but I'm lucky they are healthy.

The one thing that has always struck me about Tyler is his smile, hang onto that smile my friend...it will be with you always

So sorry to hear that you and Tyler are going through this. We had two Australian shepherds that both passed away within months of each other from a type of cancer called hemangiosarcoma--it was one of the most horrible ordeals I have ever experienced!! I felt like people just didn't understand when I was breaking down in tears, but as you said--some understand.
Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you.

I am so sorry to hear about Tyler. No words can ease the pain that you are going through. I have had pets my entire life and can relate. Recently went to Pets Alive and donated. My heart ached to see all those dogs without families. Tyler and your family has a lot of positive thoughts, hugs, and prayers sent your way.

Oh, man. We are dealing with our dog's mortality also. He's 13 (91 or so in dog year's) and he's also going down hill fast. He is limping now and has to be carried up and down stairs, he has growths on him and is not himself. In our heads we know he comes with a limited warrenty as do we all..in our hearts, we are realizing that soon, we will lose one of our family, one of our best friends - Jakedog is always happy to see us. He accepts us at face value even when we screw up.

Your Tyler and My Jakedog are not being taken from us. They were given. Placed in our lives for a short time - they are gifts. Don't dwell on the days left, but on the days you have NOW, one moment at a time. I know my life is SO much better having had this dog in my life.

I know WE were gifts to our dog, as you and Mari were to Tyler. Jake and Tyler were "rescued dogs", and I'm happy to be the one to show him what love is.

Rob, I am so sorry to hear about your beloved Tyler. What a blessing he has, having you both as parents. Tyler knows how much you love him and he will draw strength and comfort from it. My beloved Andy died of a similar thing in 05 and it was devasting. What a gentle sole my dear boy was and the love and joy he gave me will always be such a gift that I will treasure always.
May the love you get from words from your site, bring both you and your wife comfort and peace, while you go through this difficult time.

I am heart broken to hear this sad news. I know how you feel having lost 2 dogs under tragic circumstances myself. Eventhough I had 12 years with each of them it still miss them every day. They are part of the family from the first day they come into our lives.

Tyler has had the best home with both of you and we can all tell he has a special place in your heart.

I hope you have memorable days with him and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
