HOW DO YOU SLEEP WHEN THE CITY'S BURNING?!?!

Okay that's not my question...

I'm not the type of fan to say the new stuff is better. Like, ever since MTYTYA i thought that was Rob's best work. While i liked STB, and EOM was okay, i still said MTYTYA was the best.

But this....

This just might be the best Rob/Matchbox record to date! what do you guys think? Or is it too early to tell?

They ALL are amazing. If i had to pick one song to get rid of, I couldn't. Song after song it's amazing.

Though I couldn't get rid of any, my absolute favorites are Fire on the mountain, Give Me The Meltdown, Real World '09, Hard on you, Only Natural and Snowblind.

I think this is Rob's best stuff without a doubt. Rob's singing is really, really good on this album, too. I wasn't as crazy about his vocals on EOM.

I agree! this album is song for song amazing! i knew it would be good but i never expected it to be this good. Dont' get me wrong i like something to be (fallin to pieces, this is how a heart breaks, lonely no more, ever the same, problem girl, when the heartache ends, now comes the nigt, SS) but i tended to skip a lot of songs on it and now and then just listening to a select few. but this record (when i buy it) i can put in and listen from start to finish! i love rob and matchbox but this is truely a masterpiece. For me its either tied or just a little bit better than MTYTYA....which i loved as well...my fav. song being unwell!. And i cant pick a fav. from cradlesong but if i had to it would be gasoline.

I have to agree with this and in the same order. I love TS. I knew them long before mb20 or rob thomas. Forever December changed my life.

had some really catchy song that I loved on the radio..I didnt know of them while they were TS..however they have some incredible songs as TS..Something to Be is a amazing album..and I believe Cradlesong the album will come to be just as special to me as the rest of them Big Grin..there are several songs on Cradlesong
that Im very fond of Big Grin ..

just my cheezy opinion Smiler have a good day

Love all of it. "more than you think you are" is my favourite Matcbox 20 one though. It's the one I still put on when I've had a shitty day, turn it up flat and totally forget the world.Just be in the music.

My RobThomas Poem!!!!

His music helped me through my darkest days,
For that I'll be thankfull, always.
He puts into words what we all can't,
Then puts it to music to touch our hearts,
He takes you away with his unique voice,
You can't help but sing along, you have no choice.
Each song has meaning for each of us,
Depending on our current circumstance,
He's caring and sharing, honest and giving,
It shows in his music and the life he is living.
He treats his fans with love and respect,
And we adore him all the more for it.
Lets hope he continues to give to us,
His gift of music and songs we love so much.

I couldn't really list them in order. Some I like equally with others. So I'd just grade them.

YOSLY - A+
MTYTYA - A+
Mad Season - A+

Cradlesong - A-
EP - A-
TS - A-

EOM - B-

STB - C-

After STB, I thought Rob solo was just not going to cut it for me. But Cradlesong changed my mind about that. Smiler

I feel the same way about Cradlesong that I feel about Mad Season, they're both fantastic albums! I've liked everything Rob has put out, though, including the early Tabitha's Secret stuff.

i love all his cd's, mb20, ts and his solo work, but i have to say, cradlesong would probably not be in my top 3. i'm not sure what it is, but for some reason i don't really crave for the cd... lol sounds weird i know. but with all other cds it was like this:
i heard them from the first time and just couldn't stop for weeks, even months i'd say! but cradlesong... i HAD to listen to it for a few weeks but now... it's not the only cd i'm listening to right now.

some of the songs are AMAZING, i totally love them! but others are great, but just not amazing... :]

i'm not disappointed in the cd but it's just not the same as MTYTYA, for example...

my daughter asked me what is my favorite RT/MB20 is? I told her "thats like asking who my favorite child is which of course is your brother" we laughed really hard, and I have to say best ever LIVE song is Back 2 Good but Cradlesong has blown me away, can't stop listening to it. It is totally addictive.
