I had yesterday off from work because of Veteran's Day...but I had two appointments in the afternoon - one for my oil change in my car and the other at my Cholesterol Clinic. I'm on 3 meds for it and have had to change my diet...but my levels are still not where they should be...they are better not good enough. And the doctor said that 4 letter word to me again: EXERCISE. Roll Eyes

So The appointment consists going into room 1 with a nurse who takes my bloodpressure, weight, and that sort of thing. Her name was Katie. When she was done with me, she took me to the big Doc (Laura). Laura goes over all of my blood work results and asks what I'm doing (eating, exercise, stress in life). And then after her they take me into the Nutritionist for a half hour.

I have a removable blue cast on my right hand. I had Rob sign it at the free meet and greet I won before the Boston show (he wrote, MARE, please make this better soon)...(oh, Rob, this is like the third time I've been casted on this one hand...I now save my casts and boots because the likelihood of breakages are big in my household. I have Oesteoperosis (geesus that's like supercalifragilistic to spell!!)..anyhoo....The Doctor - Laura said oh, what does that say on your cast? So I told her and said who it was signed by and about my Monday night. She said YOU"RE KIDDING! My nurse Katie, the one that took your vitals was just at a Rob Thomas show in Boston on Monday. She took her 4 year old with her.

So on the way out I saw Katie. I showed her my cast and said I was there too and told her about the meet and greet. She and her friend and 4 year old went around to the buses after the show and Rob came out and signed the little 4 year old's Disney autograph book. Katie is a big fan too but her 4 year old calls Rob "her man" and knows all the words to all the Rob songs AND the matchbox songs. Knows all of their names too.

AND she said she was sitting in Row O (15 rows back in the first big section on the left) I said I was sitting in Row O on the left orchestra section. She was on the far left of Row O and Carol and I were on the far Right of the Left Section - how cool is that?

she said she's been to about 7 or 8 mb20/Rob shows now but that it was her daughter's first one. Rob signed her book and spoke with her and she is on CLOUD NINE.

Thanks for sharing with us Mare. Small world, isn't it? I hope you're able to get your health issues in place and start feeling better soon. Love how you said 4 letter word when referring to exercise. Made me laugh. Big Grin

Hey Nancy!! I'm fine! but your namesake (my sister-in-law - also named Nancy Lyons) not so fine - cancer is back, and it is in the other breast. Already started chemo and radiation. she finally got her hair to grow back in, now she'll loose it again.

Boston is my only show this go around - so it was nice to have the meet and greet opportunity!!!
