Rob and Mari,

The Furry Tail Evening was wonderful, I really enjoyed myself, and Mari did a wonderful job. I am happy that I was able to support such a great cause; I am an animal lover myself. Besides seeing you again and meeting Chris, it was great meeting Dan Marino! I have been a Dolphins fan forever! I also love, love, love the Gibson Guitar signed by Kenny Chesney that I was lucky to bid on and win.

Glad everything turned out great, and you still sounded wonderful even with your allergies.

Look forward to next year and maybe seeing you at Pets Alive one of these days.

Hi Rob & Mari,
I heard a great review of the event the following day, actually was blessed with my first "concert" call for the opening number.

Aparantely the food was devine and every little detail was thought out including someone coming around to collect those pesky little toothpicks etc. Outstanding job and I didn't think it would be anything less.

So happy for you that all your efforts were paid off in spades, as they say.

Much joy more laughter

That is such a sweet thought...I know it was wonderful of Rob, Chris, Andre and Steffi to put themselves "out there" for Pets Alive, and wonderful of Marisol and Maria to organize such a beautiful event...but I agree...a HUGE thank you needs to go out to each and every person who has donated either their time or their money in support of this event....!!! Without that kind of devotion, Pets Alive could not continue to do the wonderful work they do....

Sounded like a fabulous night.

Well done to all involved.

Rob, you really should look into some treatment for your allergies! Big Grin One doesn't have to suffer season after season.
I'm not sure why mine have been good for so long. Whether it's the inner health (probiotic) I take daily, or my now regular chiro appointments or what.

Hope you are feeling well!

Hi Rob!

Ha ha ha!!!!

I don't know if you remember me from before when I used to visit this forum and Matchbox 20's, but you might remember the name Caroline!

Well, let me tell you! I have been through so much over the past 8 years, and you were a great part of it!

Ha ha!

8 years ago, I was diagnosed with the brain disease called "schizophrenia," so many strange things happened to me, but, I remember one of them was thinking that your songs were written "just for me?"

It was really weird, especially with your Mad Season CD!

And then! When I looked over some of your lyrics online and I saw the name Caroline in one of the titles, I knew THEN that it was true! That you were writing the songs to freak me out! Smiler (Just kidding, I know now that that was some other Caroline Smiler

Oh well, I have a lot of funny stories I could tell you, especially about relationships! Especially about first marriages.

I have been with my husband now for the past 26 years, and only recently have I become "madly, madly, terribly in love with him!" I always loved him before, but, it wasn't the maddening feeling that I had craved...well, I got it now...guess when it happened to me, just when he told me that he wanted to separate for a few months. Smiler

Anyway, I can just relate to all your songs! Especially those old "heavy, heavy emotional songs!"

Well, I'm happy to tell you that I am over the hardest part of that schizophrenia? I guess I'll always be a schizophrenic, but, I'm over the really destructive days?

I know you love to help Pets Alive, but, what I'd love for you to make a foundation for too, is for "schizophrenics!" There are none, basically?

I am overcoming my schizophrenia now and am going to try to use the illness to create positive changes in my life and the life of my family, but when people are first diagnosed with schizophrenia, it is so bizarre! They actually think that songs were written just for them! They REALLY believe this!

Oh well, thanks for being such a great inspiration, even with your career. You worked your way up from the bottom as a songwriter, and you are creating the life of your dreams, I will try to follow too...I'm a fiction writer sort of, have written and sold numerous short stories, then wrote two small novels that I didn't sell, but, I think I'm going to try to become a famous novelist, now? For something to do, and hopefully so I can earn my first million like you did Smiler So many things I could do with that million, even though I don't need money, but, I could take my son on a trip to Japan for something to do, with that money...when I'm old, I can travel the country visiting you and Mari at your special performances. Smiler We will all grow old together. I'm 43-years-old now.

I hope to use your board here a lot from here on out...I don't like my username though, as it's my real name, but, it must have been left over from the days when I was schizo, I didn't care if I used my real name. Maybe if I write on your board in the future, I will change that username, but, you'll still remember the name "Caroline." Smiler

Thank you for being such a great inspiration to us all, Rob.

God bless you and Mari and the rest of your family.

Caroline
