I hope all of you lovely ladies had a great New Year.

have had a 'lazy' day ... too tired to do much of anything - other than watch my wings win the winter classic game (so much fun to watch!) and finish reading 'twilight' ... and am now dying to read the next book.

was looking up the latest info on IMDB about 'alice' - love the casting ... helena as the evil (red) queen, anne hathaway as the good (white) queen, alan rickman as the caterpillar, even timothy spall, i believe. fantastic casting ... i am just so damn excited for this one - checked the release date and it's march 5 (or something like that) - i was THRILLED!!



until i realized it's march of 2010 ... dammit!!

I had a quiet one, a bath, a drink and was in bed watching my dvd's i got for christmas by about 11pm, very exciting stuff lol

Then today i spent the day with my granda, mam and auntie, and making plans for our meeting with the woman from the humanist society who will be doing the service for my grandma's funeral.

I saw a special on TV the other day about movies to watch out for in 2009 and PE wasn't even mentioned

That was my birthday movie too. I always get dinner and a movie for my birthday so that was the movie I picked (LOVED IT).

I've gotten my mom hooked on them now too. She took me to see the movie and she really liked it too so I told her she needed to ready the books. She started reading Twilight the week of Christmas and she is right now half way through New Moon. She's addicted now too hehe.

that's how it was with me and tara, too. she has read the whole series and was jumping out of her skin to see the movie. we didn't go until christmas week, when it was at the 'cheap' local theatre. i LOVED the movie and the story itself. so i went and bought 'twilight' and read it in a few days (in the middle of all my hectic-ness of the holidays even! LOL) and now i am waiting to get the sequels from the library! great, great movie! definitely got the harry potter-type of following and hype. and, again, it's a traditional theme set in a very nontraditional way. makes it interesting and i am so loving how these series keep catching on and making it "cool" for kids to read - and interesting stories for parents and adults to read too, and a great way to connect through the stories!

I read the full series in like 3 weeks. I couldn't put them down. I'm totally on team Edward too. I love my vampires hehe. I'm so tempted to go read them again just cause they are so good. They are defenatly books I will be rereading.

They do remind me of Harry Potter. I couldn't stop reading the Harry Potter series either. It's a good thing I started both series after the full series was out or I would have gone crazy LOL. I was able to just go from one book to the next without waiting. I'm reading another series that has 4 books in it but book three was just released in August so I'm reading it as it is released and it's so hard cause I keep forgetting what's going on. It's the Inheritance Series. The first book was made into a movie a few years ago, "Eragon". It's about the rebirth of the Dragon Riders. An AWESOME series but only book 3 of 4 is out now so I have the first 3 read and waiting for the 4th to be released and who knows when that will be.
