Johnny's been nominated for two awards at this years National Movie Awards. Sweeney has bee nominated in Best Musical and Johnny has an individual nomination in Best Male Performance. You need to go to the National movie awards.com site to vote. Voting closes on August 17th.

Don Quixote rides again, says delighted Gilliam

Ever since Johnny Depp and Terry Gilliam were forced to abandon filming on The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, eight years ago, fans have speculated about the project's recovery.

Last week they were given hope when rumours of a revival surfaced.

Now Gilliam tells me the resurrection could be closer than we think.

"As far as we're concerned, it's on," he confirms. "When Johnny's ready, we're ready. We're just talking about dates to film. Basically it all depends on his schedule but otherwise we're set. It will be next year some time, before next summer anyway."

It's so great to see all the news on Johnny lately - I just saw a little blip on Johnny playing the Mad Hatter on the Daily 10! Think that will be very cool to see.

OK - a little bit of interest for anyone with TIVO - Johnny's changed his last name (or rather TIVO did). I had set a wishlist for Johnny so I'd could keep up on all the showings of his movies - there were always about 8 movies (if not more) listed. Well, about a week ago I noticed that he didn't have any listings - odd as Johnny is always on. =) Well, finally yesterday I made a wishlist for Orlando Bloom to just see what would come up - several listings for Pirates popped up. Huh - why not for Johnny.

Now I opened up the description for AWE and then DMC and saw something strange - the star of these movies wasn't Johnny Depp but Johnny Garcia! What the! So next move was to make a wishlist for Johnny Garcia and low and behold there were about 20 listings - all Mr. Depp's movies.

Shame on TIVO.

yesterday, we went to the hair salon and got tara a new "look" before she starts high school next week (orientation is tomorrow) - but while looking through one of the style books there, i came across a pic of johnny in the "celebrities" section. made me smile - but, of course, no one could come close to pulling off his style in the magnificent way that he does. imitation is nice, though.

My case of Deppitis continues I'm just about to start to read Shantaram.

It was my birthday yesterday i hoped i would find Johnny dressed in nothing but a big red bow at my front door. Didn't happen oh well it's nice to dream

i like being able to spend time "with johnny" any time i want - just by choosing one of his many movies and popping it into the player!

"in other news" - just thought i'd let y'all know that things are moving quickly with the house - FINALLY - got the approval a week ago and have inspection this afternoon! i've had a consultation about the kitchen remodel but still need to find a contractor who is available next month to do the bathroom addition and get an estimate for that. once we get the written estimates, we can get the appraisal and move on to closing! i can't wait ... after waiting two months going crazy, now i'm going crazy trying to keep up with everything. LOL! story of my life - one extreme or the other!

Thank you i did have a nice birthday although it was a little bit odd too, i got a phone call of my soon to be ex mother-in-law to say happy birthday. All very odd really cos in the 4 years since Ian and I split i've only had contact with her about 4 times LOL

There must be something in the air too cos Ian's nephew Dom called me yesterday and today i had Ian himself on the phone too. I think i must have slipped into the Twilight Zone or something LOL

Aww that is great news about the house, it's funny how everything seems to be going at a snail's pace and then all of a sudden you don't know if you're coming, going or been LOL
