Mari- don't let the idiots get to you. They are morons with no life. We all know the good that you and Rob do, and we are proud of you. It's unfortunate we have people like that come in here, but we do all the time. Most of us just ignore them, but I understand your feelings as this was directed at you, Rob and Matt in particular. You know the truth and we all know that you and Rob love animals so there's no doubt Carrie and Baxter are now leading a wonderful life at Pets Alive. The biggest enemy to people like that: Peace of Mind. We all know that they are full of sh*t and that is all that matters. We can make it through the day without ever needing to throw lies around and are still very good people whether we can get under someone elses skin or not. Period. Oh, boy.
 I spent quite a few minutes just trying to figure this out until I realized the offending writer was totally eliminated from the thread (minus the few sentences that had been quoted). First, let me say that I admire rob and Mari, their work for the animals and their devotion to a cause I hold dear myself. I have also found that more animals are worthy of my support than humans in many cases. BUT why are we eliminating their posts? That only serves to look as tho we are shutting them down for our own purposes. Free speech and all that. Yes...I agree Popo should have been shut down (that was hate speech), and when we deleted users that posted x-rated pics, that was okay. MANY times I would have liked to have seen Soot go (I won't call him Soothy cause he FAR from soothes anyone) specially since his last post makes it more than clear who SHE is. Anyhow, it is getting old, the way we pick and choose who to shut down. There has been a lot of nastiness on this board that doesn't get shut down (much of it just directed between certain individuals who just cannot get along - myself included). I think Mari has every right to defend her side (and she SHOULD, because if you don't defend yourself, you could appear guilty). My point? Defend, state facts (don't embellish or get personal), and move on. my last point (for anyone still reading) this is NOT a home, it is a discussion board. How sad that some think it is. |

It is a shame that Carrie and Baxter had to endure such atrocities. We all know their lives are so much better now. I am sorry that someone has come on here and tried to make it look like all the good you, Rob, Matt and the others at Pets Alive is for not. All of us here know that you all do so much to better the lives of those who can not speak for themselves is extremely important and needed. I hope that you all continue the good that you do for this world.

The posts were not just a difference of opinion...they were extremely nasty and VERY personal...not just an exchange of thoughts or viewpoints done in an intelligent, respectful way...this was most likely popo under another guise...it has since returned as 'spade' and again been eliminated...like I said, a mere difference in opinion, stated respectfully is one thing... but really nasty, personal posts against Rob, Mari, PA and even me are another thing entirely...I was the recipient of some LOVELY PMs from this troll---hurtful and hateful enough that I considered not coming back here...that said, I do think anyone who comes here at least owes Rob, Mari and all others here RESPECT...we should really be good to each other here, of all places...sure, discussion and exchange of opinions is fine...hatefulness just for the sake of it is NOT.... As an aside, it does clearly state in the policy/terms of use page that people must comply with the Rules of Conduct, or risk being denied access...and those rules include not posting anything hateful, threatening, harrassing or degrading...the posts that were eliminated contained all of these types of speech.....
