So basically what you are saying is anyone who has an opposing view to yours, an opposing view to Robs, AND chooses to express those views is trash? How sad. Soothsayer I don't think people's opinion of you is anything to do with Democrat, Republic, Black, White, Christian, Muslim, whatever....
It's down to the simple fact that you are nothing more than a trouble-maker whose only apparent reason for visiting this board is to cause trouble - well in the name of "soothsayer" anyway.... who knows what you do under any other identity you may have??? I doubt anyone really cares! I did ask you in a thread a while back why you DO visit this board, I have never seen a post from you in which you express your appreciation of Rob or his music, nor have I ever seen you contribute anything positive to the board. A trouble-maker in what sense? Because I disagree with others politically and choose to make that known? And maybe, just MAYBE, bring to light some points which are relevant to the election? That's trouble-making? Hardly. Because I'm in the minority politically, I should keep quiet? Never. It's really amazing how intolerant Democrats get when they are hit with opinions they don't like. Thankfully, there are those of us who take it for what it's worth, respect others opinions and stop short of name calling. Again, if people don't like it, put me on ignore. The problem is, some just can't bring themselves to doing so. To answer your question, I like Rob's music and this is where I find out what he's up to. It seems to me that the Democrats on this board can pretty much say anything they want about McCain/Palin. Soothsayer and many other conservatives who speak just the slightest out of turn about Obama/Biden get blasted--unless you are on friendly terms with people on this board. If you are a Republican, seems you can't even state your opinion in a polite way if it against Obama. Seem fair? Not really, but it is the reality here. Democrats speak out against McCain all of the time on this board and rarely anyone fires back. Why can't Soothsayer speak out against Obama without being mocked or ridiculed? I thought the liberals were supposed to be the tolerant ones? |

I have no problem with soothsayer. I have been called ignorant by Obama people because I disagree with them. I certainly wouldn't call an Obama supporter ignorant. I suppose if soothsayer posted under their old name (I'm sure she has one) maybe things would be different. I don't like aliases, but I certainly wouldn't call her ignorant or trash. And if soothsayer is male, I apologize. If she/he posts a thread I'm not interested in, I simply don't read it. It's not that hard. |

Your trouble-making has not been restricted to the election, soothsayer, the election has merely handed you more opportunities for stirring the pot, as some have called it.

I guess some of us are just more blunt...we call 'em as we see 'em. I'm not afraid to speak my mind about anyone on this board, and I've been around here long enough to know that every single one of soothy's posts, political and non, are garbage. You can play the passive-aggressive game if you want, but I'm not buying it. I can see through it, and I can bet most of the people here can too, they just won't say so.

"Use your brain" as in agreeing with what you believe, correct? Otherwise, a differing opinion is ignorance, correct? I'm open-minded enough to hope that Obama sticks to all of his promises. Having conviction and sticking to one's beliefs is not "constant bitter bashing". They're honest opinions and beliefs.
