I wanted to start a thread for those whose fathers have passed. Please feel free to post a note or a tribute here. This thread is dedicated to my daddy, Paul. He was a funny, wise, smart man with a shiny bald head and big blue eyes and I adored him. I still do. Since my dad had 5 daughters and no sons, I tried to be the son he never had. I was the biggest tomboy, and he and I did all kinds of cool stuff together. I loved going fishing and shrimping with him, playing or watching football, listening with him to his beloved LA Dodgers or Atlanta Braves in a game on the radio. My beautiful daddy passed away on June 28, 1988 and I still miss him every day. Daddy, I want to wish you a very happy Father's Day from your 'Charlie'. I love you, I miss you, and I'll see you again on down the road.

For my daddy, PMM 1922-1988

A tribute also to my dear father-in-law, ABR, who left us way too early and who is sadly missed. Happy Father's Day, Papa. We love you.

ABR 1908-1997

Rest in peace.

I would like to mention my Dad also

He was the Best !!! He passed away in 1980 and I still miss him each and every day but he and every thing he taught me is still with me in my heart ...

would also like to mention my husband to whom I lost to Cancer in 1990 . He was a Wonderul Man and a Wonderful Father to our daughter ( she was such a Daddy's girl )

I know I am a better person because of these two Wonderful Men and I know one day we will all be together again ...

A wonderful nod to my father, Rocco. I share his birthday (only 33 years apart-lol) and I was a definite Daddy's girl.

One day he collapsed and he left us 2 weeks later. It devastated the entire family and my grandmother (he was a first born Italian son) literally passed away of a broken heart 3 years later.

I only had him for 17 years and he, at 50, was way too young, but I am grateful for those 17 years as alot of other people may not have had even that.

I still buy him a card for holidays (I know it's odd but it makes me feel better). I know he is doing ok since my mother passed on several years ago and they are finally back together again. I'll be visiting their grave later today with card in hand.

Miss you, Dad! (and Mom!)

Rocco 1939 - 1990
Anne Theodora 1939 - 2001

I am remembering friends' dads who have passed, one in particular just a year ago. I am lucky to still have my dad, in a diminished capacity at age 88, but he still tells me I am his princess and even over the phone tells me how beautiful I am. Every woman should experience that kind of love.

In honor of my Daddy, Charlie, and in memory of James Rosati.

This is my first Fathers Day without my Dad. Frowner
He passed away unexpectedly on January 1 of this year. We had driven to Vegas for the Matchbox concert for New Years Eve. When we got
the call on News Years Day, we were absolutely
heartbroken Frowner It was a very long and reflective drive home to say the least. I miss
him everyday.

After my Dad retired, he got into restoring
antiques and building interesting pieces of
furniture. When I look around my home, I can
see so much of him in the items he gave me. It
gives me peace to know that I can pass down these items to my kids, so he will live on forever.

I lost my Grandpa in March. Since my Dad and I don't have the best relationship, my Grandpa was my father figure. He taught me so much. I have his wisdom and his love with me forever in my heart. I love you Grandpa and miss you so much. Happy Father's Day.
