From "Something to be" it's "Now comes the night". Love them all, but this one is so touching, and thinking it was a live recording....

1st time poster here, hello all. For me, I have to split this up. For MB20 stuff, it's Real World, just a cathcy as hell song, and 1 I relate to (I pretty much echo the chorus every day at work). Of his solo stuff, I hate to simply pimp the singls, but darnit, Lonely No More is my favorite here by a hair over Something To Be, Little Wonders, This Is How A Heart Breaks, Streetcorner Symphony, and When The Heartache Ends.

Straight up what did you hope to learn about here
If I were someone else would this all fall apart
Strange where were you when we started this gig
I wish the real world would just stop hassling me.

Depends on the mood I'm in

HAPPY -- You're so real
Sad -- Back to good & 3 AM
UNSURE-- My,my,my
ANGRY -- Damn
MEllOW-- Little Wonders

and every single Rob song he sings

Be yourself,,,
everybody else is taken

If you need a friend
don't look to a stranger
You know in the end
I'll always be there.
And when you're in doubt
And when you're in danger
Take a look around
And I'll be there

How far we've come

It's "Fallen"... that was the B-side of the "Lonely no more" single, not included in the album. Hope that helps Smiler

Welcome to the board.. Smiler

I don't think there is a song that Rob has done that I disliked, but my fave is Hand Me Down. I can hear that one over and over.

for a matchbox song i always loved push and 3 am their the songs that got me into the band and make me remember my college days but there is just something about bright lights first time i heard it on the cd i listen to about 5 times before i moved on to the next song.

solo? i love smooth it's the song that brought carlos back but every song he's down since then has been a different take on it so its gotten a little old. so i'm going with something to be to me its one of his most personal songs to me its his take on fame dealing with it gives you a little insight to him..plus i love the horns

live? i cant pick one but i do love him doing bowie not many people could pull it off right

I love those days.

I LOVE "NOW COMES THE NIGHT". I AM WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNOWS THE TRUE MEANING BEHIND THIS SONG. I HAVE HAD MEDICAL ISSUES IN THE PAST AND I WAS GOING TO LEAVE THIS SONG TO BE PLAYED AT MY FUNERAL FOR MY CHILDREN TO HEAR. IS THIS AN APPROPRIATE SONG? LOVE TO HEAR FEEDBACK ON THIS SONG.

The song is about facing death but not facing it all by yourself.
I am sorry to hear of your medical issues.
Many good luck wishes to you and your family.

I think it would be appropriate but I hope you won't need it now and you won't need it for a long long time...
