Unfortunately, I doubt that Atlantic will pick up the tab for a UK tour since Rob's music isn't selling over there. Frowner I love your idea of Rob doing a record with just piano or guitar. That would be awesome! Smiler

MB tend to sell out shows on word-of-mouth over here... I can't see why he wouldn't come back to tour the UK and Europe - he did say he would... (And I did read in Virgin that ...STB is the highest selling solo debut album of the year - emphasis on solo and debut - effectively ruling out James Blunt - his came out 2004 - so we KNOW he's doing well... and TIHAHB didn't sell fantastically well in the States either, although it got more air time... ANYWAY...)I was sooo lucky to get to go to the Manchestaaaaaah show, and it was amazing, and I WILL travel if I need to, (well, I would like to see more than 1 show, but it depends on uni, £££ etc...) but the States is a bit beyond my reach lol.

He will come back to the UK, have faith Big Grin

Mistywabbit!! I was in Edinburgh for Hogamany!!...yeah!...

I think Atlantic should get their tight little fingers in their pockets and deal out some dosh for the UK tour...Rob is really on a cusp over here...everyone from all walks are diggin' him...but he's just *not about enough* to tip the balance!. By that** I don't mean physically I'm mean promotionally!

I really want Rob to come back to the UK!! I am so in need of a Rob show!! I went to the Astoria one and it was amazing!!!
Last September when he was interviewed on an Irish radio station, I emailed in and asked Rob if he was going to tour the UK next year and he said he was! But things change. Fingers crossed they haven't!
In the last few months I have converted soooooooooo many people to his album and subsequently MB20, that I have sooo many people who want to see him live with me, many of whom didn't even know who he was until very recently!! Last time my sis (who is also a very big fan!) couldn't make the Astoria show, so I had to drag along a friend who didn't know any of his songs....needless to say, she is now a fan!

So Atlantic, give us a UK tour!!!! Unfortunately seeing him in the states is out of the question for me, so please!!!!!! Big Grin

I'm assuming you had a great time then! You can't come here for hogmanay and bloody well NOT, can you?!?! (Apart from the year they cancelled the Street Party damn them, about 15 mins after we'd got there... lol) Wink

Of course, Rob's physical presence over here would help promo hugely! What we need is for the radio stations to pick up on him more... i haven't heard one station up here playing TIHAHB... (although Northsound 1 in Abdn is still playing LNM occasionally... and Smooth of course... Smiler). And the TV. I read the TOTP review of TIHAHB - I was looking to see if he'd be on - and they absolutely LOVED it, but because of timing he couldn't be on... In fact, as far as I know, he was only on GMTV the last time he was over (which i, and most people, MISSED Frowner). More promo, and more notification of him being on, that's what I want... and a tour... I'm not asking for much Wink

I remember that interview Lucy!!! Have you got a copy of it? If not, PM me and I can send it to you...

He's said, and so have his band, several times that he WILL be back in YouRob for a tour... I'm holding him to that. I know he said Jan, but I can wait. (Jan was always gonna be a bad time for me anyway, uni exams Frowner so it's better for me this way lolWink)

Roll on the Rob...
