When I woke up he wasn’t in my bed anymore. We had spent yet again another sexless night together. I couldn’t believe he was still in love with me after a year and me moving on. Which was the worse possible thing I could let my parents talk me into. I got up to get dressed for work. When I got out the shower he was in my closet reading. Probably the letters. He was smiling that means he was reading the good ones.
“Are those my letters?” I asked him.
“Our letters” He said.
I smiled and my phone rang it was no one but Naji. I answered with a slight attitude in my voice.
“I just wanted to make sure you were up” He said.
“Uh huh” I said.
“What the hell wrong with you!?” He yelled in my ear.
“Nothing “I said jumping at the sound of his voice.
He hung up in my ear..
I grabbed my purse and walked down the steps. Farren grabbed my arm and turned me around.
I looked at him and h stared in my eyes.
“Don’t leave mad” He said pulling me into him.
“What are you doing?” I asked him.
“I love you still Diairah” He said and kissed my lips softly. He broke the kiss and looked at me. I bit my bottom lip.
“I love you to” I said with tears in my eyes.
“You my girl again okay. I don’t care about Naji or whatever his name is.” He said .
“Okay but it wont be like a normal relationship. And I’m telling you its not safe. Don’t say I didn’t warn you” I said to him kissing him and walking out the door to work.
When I got there Lindie still wasn’t there I asked Lee-Zee the gossip queen where she was.
“Oh she’s in New York with her new boy friend.” She said with her chinese accent.
“Oh what’s his name?” I asked because I knew she knew. I kind of had an idea who it was but I didn’t want to spill.
“Uh.. Your husband.” She said looking down.
I smiled and walked away. It wont bother me this time. He could have his fun and I would have mine. Were in two different worlds and Diairah was going to rock his world and share hers with Farren. Her real love no one has to know just yet. I sat at my desk and my parents walked into my office un announced. I called security they sat and looked at me.
“Why are you acting like this?” My mother asked me.
“Get out of my office” I said calmly and they were escorted out.
I sighed and looked at my clock. Not time soon that I would be getting home. I turned on my computer ready to do some work. I could barely focus. I thought about Farren almost the whole day. He was all I could think about. I didn’t know what I was going to when Naji came home. Would I simply leave him? No I would take him to court and play him for every thing he had .
Every dime and I had my house in my name so he wouldn’t be getting that.. I thought to my self.
I looked at the clock and it was time for me to go home. I grabbed all my stuff and went to my car. I was ready to see him now. When I walked into the house it was dark. Nothing but candles lit. I was afraid because I could barely see anything.
“Its okay baby girl I just wanted to do something special for my hard working lady.” I heard Farren’s voice it was recognizable even with the soft music playing. He came over and grabbed my hand. He took me upstairs and into my bathroom. The bathroom was lit with candles and there was rose petals in the water. I looked back at him and he smiled.
“I know you always wanted it.” He said.
I smiled even harder and he walked me towards the bathtub.
Tonight was going to be a special night for me.
And for my baby. I got him back and I wasn’t letting him go again.
Once I was in the tub I explained to him my plan. He knew it was devious and he liked it.
So did I. the game was on.}
