As the blade slowly punctured his skin for the third time, all she saw was the blood squirting out of her best friend’s neck. She hadn’t shed a tear yet but once she was set free and her friend was released from his torture. She ran to his side and her tears were flowing like a river. She lifted his head up and placed it in her lap with his dreads hanging off. At that very moment, she wished she could hit stop then rewind, and finally freeze the scene before her best friend even spoke a word to that girl.

no the girl didn't stab him there are two other guys you will hear about in the first chapter that are involved with the other girl not the best friend

Okay, so I love the title. It was catchy as soon as I saw it. And as I read the short little introduction, I was like I could see this story going far. So, it's a thumbs up from me. No predictions, yet. Just going with the flow.

Chapter One

It took all of thirty minutes for him to get caught up with a female that was dating a guy from a rival school. He was just being himself and getting to know her nothing serious or intimate. They went to the same school and had a few of the same classes. She was five foot five, sandy red hair that barely touched her shoulders, hazel eyes, and wore large hoop earrings that hung almost to the bottom tip of her hair. She was sporting three inch heels with a lime green halter top and mini denim skirt. They exchanged numbers because she wanted to help him get his grades together.

“I didn’t catch your name. My name is Sheena.” Sheena said. She was taken back when he flashed a smile. She looked him up and down taking in all his outer characteristics. He was about five foot eight, dreads, brown eyes, and what caught her off guard was his scent. He smelled good though they didn’t really get in close enough when they shook hands.

“My name is Corey.” Corey said. He pulled his dreads back into a rubber band. He programmed his number into her phone and she did the same. Then they went their separate ways. Corey met up with his best friend Alana around the corner from Carol Mart.

“Sheena is bad news. She’s off limits to everyone all over Dade County and surrounding counties Corey.” Alana said. Alana was always watching Corey’s back making sure he knew what he was getting into.

“She’s going to help with my English and Math work.” Corey said. Sheena was only after one of two things if she was talking to a guy and school work wasn’t one of them. Sheena went to school with them and Alana knew what Sheena was doing trying to get him caught up with her and have her man Malik come and hurt him.

“Hopefully, she isn’t pulling the same trick she pulled on Diamond and Marcus two months ago.” Corey remembered what happened with his brothers. He promised he wouldn’t get caught up in her scam.

Diamond pulled up and picked them up. He knew something was up with Corey because he was always the first one to say something once he got into the car. “What’s going on bro?” Diamond asked. Diamond was five foot three, brown eyes, with a fade, and was business minded. Diamond knew when one of his brothers wasn’t feeling right about something.

“Sheena,” was all Corey could get out before Diamond spoke up again.

“How did you two meet? Where did you meet?” Diamond was just firing out questions.

“D, they have classes together English and Math. She offered to help him with his work.” Alana said.

“Hopefully, that’s all she’s going to do this time. She is known for manipulation and deception Corey. Her boyfriend may attend a different school but he has eyes everywhere watching to see if another guy is trying to hook up with her.” Diamond fell into her trap two months earlier and was in a deep whole afterwards because Malik really gave him a beating for attempting to sleep with Sheena. The rest of the ride home was silent. Alana was staying the night with them. She had left her things at the house the day before when she came by with her mom.
