ADDICTED
Chapter 1: The First Hit Working in a rehabilitation clinic I’ve come into contact with all sorts of addicts. From cocaine addicts to heroine addicts and they all have the same story. Most of them have been addicted to some sort of drug since they were pre-teens and every time I ask them how it started they all tell me the same thing. The first hit. They all tell me that the first taste of their addiction is what got them hooked. Well my story is not like theirs. Yes, I have become an addict, but not to drugs. I am addicted to him. His touch, his kiss, his love are a necessity. A day without him is like torture. Like many I try to hide my addiction to him hoping that my husband won’t find out. 3 months ago is when I got my first hit like many drug addicts would say and every since then I’ve been a fiend for his love. After just one taste I can truly say I’m addicted. Comments please let me know what you think should I stop or continue. Constructive criticism is welcomed. This message has been edited. Music blasted through the speakers damn near rupturing my ear drum. Green, blue, and red lights reflected off of people’s sweaty bodies and in order to get from one place to another you had to basically brush up against someone’s sweaty body. Now I remember why I absolutely hated coming to clubs, but it was my best friend Kim’s birthday and she just had to spend her 21st birthday at the club.
“Come on Laila loosen up girl you’re 23 not 32” Kim told me pulling me to the bar. I rolled my eyes at her. I can’t believe she said that shit. I mean we all know why I didn’t go to clubs anymore. I mean 2 years in a strict marriage I guess it made me loose my taste for the club scene. At 23 years old I was more into poetry clubs than dance clubs. Maybe it’s because my husband is 4 years older than me and he forced me to hang out with an older group of people. “Oh my damn. Now see that’s just too damn sexy.” My other friend Lauren said her eyes focused on a man coming into the entrance of the club. I looked toward the entrance and she was right. He made every nigga in this club look like flava flav or worse. Years of being married to my husband taught me to automatically look away and try to avoid eye contact, but something told me that was going to impossible to do. “Oh shit he’s coming this way.” Kim said sounding like a little 13 year old school girl. My eyes immediately shot up and sure enough he was heading straight for the bar. This time no matter how I tried my eyes wouldn’t leave him. In just the few steps he had taken I could tell he was extremely confident. This man had my full attention and from the way he was staring at me and the slight smirk on his face he knew exactly what he was doing to me. The closer he got the more nervous I became. He was 4ft or less away from me when I just couldn’t take it anymore and I turned and walked quickly to the bathroom. I went to the sink and splashed water on my face trying to calm my nerves. I knew the water was ruining my make-up, but at the moment I could care less. I paced back and forth until I had gotten myself together and I made my way to the door to walk out the bathroom. I can’t believe I acted that way just then. I mean he had only stared at me and I’m in the bathroom acting like he kissed me. I swung the door open with my head down staring at the wet spot I had gotten on my dress from the sink. When I ran smack into something. My mind went went blank as inhaled the scent of this man. He was tall about 6’3 and he was muscular. He chest was rock hard. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t notice that I was holding on to his arms with my face in his chest. He cleared his throat and I looked to see it was the man from the bar. His skin was a beautiful caramel color with no marks or blemishes what so ever. I quickly let go of him and took a step back. He smiled at me showing of the most beautiful white teeth I had ever seen. I melted right then and there. We stood there for about 5 minutes, me staring him smiling. My mind was going all over the place, it went from us dancing to us in his car kissing to us at his place straight fucking. He stepped up to me and bent down to where his mouth was touching my ear. He grabbed me by my waist and said “Are you gonna let me past?” I heard the humor in his voice but his tone was still smooth and seductive. I looked behind me to see the men’s bathroom which I was blocking. I moved to the side and let him past and he walked to the bathroom not once looking back at me. He just left me there embarrassed with my panties soaking wet.
