Title: Men All Over The World

Introduction.

It's like men never change.Some only want one thing and the others just want you for show.There is no good man out there that can do this sista good.Not the "brothas" asians,caucasians damn not even the vietnamese men.I'd be damned if I date another "brotha" who got gold teeth[& not grills],a deep country south accent with poor english skills[don't get me wrong I love a southern man] and he dress like it's 100 degrees all the time.I get tired of men these days.I wish my men came like friends they come & they go.I dont know why I can't find myself going into a steady long-term relationship,it just doesn't fit me I guess.Yeah this sounds like your typical love story or
"problem" but its not like others.When will I find the right one? Could it be that God is telling me that men isnt meant for me? Well God might be wrong 'cause I sure love me some-- oh my bad getting too caught up in the moment.

"Gal! Come on!" I felt somebody roughly pulling me.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Gal you dont know what ya smellin'?" My friend Kadijah's jamacian accent filled my ears.Then thats when it hit me.Literally,the smoke & the smell of the fire hit me all at once.

"Get my shit! Save it!." I ran to my dresser draw & started pulling out bras,panties,shirts & shorts.Anything that was coming outta than draw into my hand into a big plastic bag."Money,Oh Lord my money!" I ran to my closet threw out 3 Nike sneaker boxes until I found my black box filled with money.After grabbing it I felt two big strong manly hands wrap around my waist jerking me up almost causing me to drop my money.Carrying me out the room I saw that the fire was located in my living room,ruining all my old furniture.Luckily my new sets didnt come in yet.


When I hit outside it was like I was in a different world.I started to choke and gag until somebody handed me a cold water.I don't know who it was but thank God they was there to give the water to me.Struggling up to my feet I saw a bunch of news reporters running up to me asking questions about the fire."No comment." said a tall guy about 6'3 guy stepped in front of me waving the cameras off.Knowing he wanted to say more than "no comment" he didnt.He kept shooing them away until they were in their vans driving away.

"Thank you" I said after he turned around to examine me.

"No problem.You know that was a dangerous fire there" I watched his full lips move showing his straight dingy white teeth.

"Yeah I know,I dont know what caused it though.I- just I-just" Stuttering to get the words out I hushed as he put his arms around me into a hug.The smell of mens cologne filled my nostrils -the good smelling kind- made me weak to my knees.I hurried up and stood straight so he would notice."Kadijah,Oh no Kadijah" Running towards my house,again I felt those big massive hands wrap around my waist.

"Don't worry she's safe.Look over there" He pointed to Kadijah beside the house sitting on one of the white lawn chairs. A sigh of relief exscaped my mouth.

"Thank you,again.What's your name?"

"Allen" He extended his caramel hand towards me.Seeing the veins in his hands made me smile.I love a man with strong looking hands.Shaking his hand I didnt feel a dry-rough feeling it felt soft.

"Nice to meet you" Saying that fast enough so he wouldn't think I was falling for him.

"Nice to meet you too" He looked down on me with his brown eyes."I have to get going,here's my card" Handing it to me I took it,flipped it with my index & thumb.Seeing the fax & telephone number.Also that he was a lawyer.I didnt need a lawyer yet so what was he doing here?

"Well I'll give you a call sometime"

"I'll be waiting" He said.Hinting some seductivity & seriousness in his voice.

I smiled thinking damn he looked good.Watching him walk away I had no choice but to drift my eyes down to his ass.He had a nice firm one.Ooh-wee he got it all.

I watched Allen as he got into his Bentley & drove off.Here in my neighborhood you couldnt drive a car that wasn't from Lincoln,Chrysler,Rolls Royce or any big name you can find.If you roll through here riding in a beat down badillac[cadillac] they would classify you as "low-class." Looking over at Kadijah I saw she was talking to a young around 18-20 year old looking caucasian lady.By her face expressions I could tell they were talking money.Stepping to walk over to Kadijah a white lady stood in my way."Excuse me" I said giving her that "who are you?" look.

"Oh good you can hear.I thought you were deaf" She said with her Austrailian accent ending her hand waving.


"Who are you?" I said trying my best not to seem rude.

"Well I'm Allen's girlfriend ,soon to be wife" She said flashing her hand in my face.

"I would mind if you remove your hand away from my face before I move it for you" I said mimicking her & watching her pull her hand down away from my face. "Now your Allen's girlfriend,what do you want with me?"

"I saw him talking to you.So I can over & see what interest he might have in you.Obviously by the charity hug he gave you there isnt much interest he has in you."

Oh I was about to go baby-mama drama loud on her "Well if he came over here to talk to me he must have some interest.He must get tired of wanna-be sassy Barbie doll all the time.Now excuse me I have some people to communticate with" I said walking away adding a switch everytime I felt eyes burning into my back.

"Oh gal who was that white gal waving her hands in ya face" Kadijah said as soon as I came over there.This girl must have some type of strong eye vision.

"I dont know.Some woman looking for drama" I rolled my eyes. "So where am I going to stay tonight" I twiddled the paper between my fingers."I might go to a hotel,I'll just go for the cheap ones".

Suddenly I felt a hand come to the back of my neck,it left a stinging sensation."Lisa gal you know you can stay at my place."

"Oh no I wouldnt wanna bother you & Kenyon" I said rubbing my neck.Kenyon was Kadijah's five year old son,she had him when she was 17.

"You not gonna bother me or him.He knows how to act when your around.When your not I have to spank his little ass just to get him to pay attention"

"Ok,but I dont want to over stay my stay.I'll go ask the fireman about the repairments." Getting up I fixed my shirt then jogged over to one of the firemen who was taking a water break. "Excuse me sir,how long would it take for my house to get repaired?"

"Well ma'am there's not much damage to your home.So I'll say around 2 weeks.The repairmen have to re-do your walls, floors and windows."

"Ok" Damn 2 weeks with Kadijah I know this is going to be fun.Ah shit my clothes.Turning around I saw another fireman carrying away my big bag of clothes."Hey Mister!" I started to run after him.Still tugging along with my black box in arms.Reaching towards him he turned around alarmed."Thats my bag"

"Im sorry but this is going to have to be confiscated."

"No you dont get it,my clothes are in there.You can check." I kept pointing to the bag like something was wrong with me.

"Oh ok,here ya go." I saw him peeping my blue-laced 32d bra that sat right at the top of the bag. "Have a nice day ma'am & I hope all the repairing goes well" He smiled then winked at me.Grabbing my bag up so I can hurriedly get away I avoided the other things he was motioning to me.Just in time Kadijah came and helped me with my bag "Come on child,I gotta go home the baby-sitter is still there." Glancing at my watch I saw it was 11:13 p.m.I looked up & Kadijah wasn't there any more,I looked back & saw the people who still watched my house after the fire was out.Kids awwed & booed at the site of the firing being washed away.Some cried because they was scared.Hearing honking from a car I alerted myself to look for Kadijah.It was her honking her horn."Get with the deal child." I jogged to the car opened the door & closed the door right after I sat down.

"I'm gonna go get Kenyon,pay the sitter then were gonna go eat" I guess she heard the growls coming from my stomach.I havent ate since 12 this afternoon.

Kadijah doing her tasks was a quick job we were done by 11:40.We headed back to my house since the police didnt question me yet.

As I got out the car a policeman stood right there waiting on me." Are you Ms.Richards?" he extended his hand.

"Yes I am" I extended my hand to shake his.

"We need to question you.I promise it wont take long"

'Ok" We headed over to the white lawns chairs to sit for the questioning.

"Alright Ms.Richards, what were you doing around 10:30?"

"I was laying down in my bed"

"Were you cooking anything" His stern voice harden on were.

"No I wasn't"

"Does anybody hate you?"

"What? Nobody would I hardly talk to people in this neighborhood."

"Did you have an open flame near a flammable substance?"

"No."

"That'll be all.Here's a number you can keep.We'll call you for more questioning"

"Ok.Thank you" I said taking his card.

"Ok you have a nice night" He stood up gathered his papers then walked over to his partner.Im figuring they were discussing the case & not me.

By the time I hit a bed in Kadijah's home it was 2:00 in the morning.I never felt to tired & powerless until today.Fuck a shower I need some rest.
