well, okay.
it's the four p's - portfolio, presentation, paper, and project.
your topic HAS to be able to convert to all four p's.

so you can write about anything that agrees to the above statement;
and is approved by the board.

we did something like that i got 90 and did it the night before, we had a power point presentation in front of judges n shit, it was hella gay.

i had this idea where i was gonna write my paper on
the different cliques and societies within my school and their attitudes towards the school.

my project was going to be an evaluation of ten different personality types.
i was gonna make em up or whatever;
jocks, goths, cheerleaders, smart kids, sped kids, etc.
and with the gathered information i was gonna make a program
like once a week over a course of six weeks
that met up so they could all do, shit, something,
i never got that part thought through.

for my presentation, i'd use ten of the most interesting kids,
not in person, but through their evaluation
and explain what i'd found out and how i felt that
the school could be made better for ALL students as a whole.

and i would either apply that for my community service;
or make a club for the kids at the middle school
to prep them for some of the shit at the high school.

and a portfolio is just a keep up of all the work you've done
as you've done it.

I think that is a wonderful idea. It sounds like your school is getting you all ready for graduate school which is excellent. You should take that idea and run with it. You can ask the administration if you can post signs to advertise your little group or hand out flyer's and things around school.

You should start by making a set of questions on how they (the students) would rate the school and pick 3 or 4 general areas of interest in the school such as the equality of students in the class room and their thoughts on the senior project and have each set group express their opinions. Once this is done you can find the commonality in each groups opinion of what they want and ask them ways they think common ground can be reached between the school board, school administration and the students.

but when you think about it that is a whole lot of work and your gonna need graphs and charts and things of that nature.

yea, i understand that it's a lot of work.
but i need a really good grade on this.

like if yours is good you can get recommendation letters
from REALLY important people; of course i don't know who they are.
nor do i care, i just need some letters
so i can take my behind to college.
