 It's just those rainy days we spend a life time trying to wash away that kills me softly. It's like you ask God a thousands times to help you, but when you're at your weakest point is when he gives you a hand. My mama always told me that he did that to make us strong. But, why does God want us to be so strong? My mama also said that I should never question God. It's hard though; especially when I have so many questions. I don't blame my rainy days on God though. I blame them on all the sins I've committed. I've always said each sin I commit is another rainy day. I feel my rainy days are my punishment. I guess I should be happy God helps me at all. My name is Jada Holmes and this is my story. Chapter 1 Rain On Me It was around a quarter to 1 in the morning and it was the third time that week I had been sitting up waiting on my boyfriend Curtis to come home. The other two nights I let him tell me some lame excuse, but that night I wasn't hearing it. Around 1:15 a.m. he came strolling in like he didn't have a care in the world. "Where the fuck you been?" I got right in his face. The smell of weed and alcohol was strong on him. "Out with my niggas! Why da fuck you sweating me?" He exclaimed. He pushed me to the side and started heading upstairs. "Curtis this is your third time this week coming in during the wee hours of the morning! Let me find out you been with some trick and you and that bitch are two dead motherfuckers!" I raged at him "You so sexy when you mad" Can y'all believe that shit? How is he just gonna flip the script on my ass like that? He walked up to me and wrapped his strong arms around my waist. His touch was intoxicating. I was either crazy for falling for his shit or I was getting a second hand high from his smell. He began to kiss and suck my neck. The bastard knew how to get to me because he knew that was my spot. I was falling slowly into his trap of pure temptation. The ringing of his cellphone snapped me out the dangerous trap he was putting me in. I snatched the cellular device off his waist before he could even blink. "Who is this?" I answered the phone rudely "Who the fuck is this?" A female voice asked back. "Naw bitch you called my man phone so you the one that got some damn explaining to do so ima ask you one last time! WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" Curtis stood in front of me looking guilty. "Oh you must be Jada?" The bitch said all nonchalantly. How the fuck did this bitch know me. "How the fuck you know me ho?!" "Look bitch just tell C-Lo to come get his son tomorrow!" With that she hung up. After all this time I was right Curtis had been cheating on me. A devilish rage filled my body. I could feel my chest getting hot. I threw his phone in the lit fireplace. "Bitch" He punched me dead in the jaw. I couldn't believe the so call love of my life hit me. When I made my next move I wasn't thinking. I picked up the gun that was sitting on the table and shot him. Blood squirted from his neck. I froze with fear.
