 ] I somehow found myself in a predicament that I could not get myself out of. I was so attracted to both of them that I couldn’t help myself. I made relationships with both of them, and at the time I thought that I wouldn’t get caught. You see I always had a way with getting away with things, even if it meant telling a little white lie. But now I guess my power of doing so ran out. I had both of them eating out the palm of my hand, then all of a sudden it stopped. I got caught and was left looking like a fool, while people prejudged me calling me a “trifling whore” and at the time I felt like one. Setting: Memphis, TN
Date: August 31, 2005 This is when it all started, It was the day after my birthday. I had just turned 18 and was loving it. School had just started a couple of weeks earlier. I was in the twelfth grade, I would be attending Central high School. “Home of The Warriors”. To just have turned eighteen, I had an hell of a body. Dudes were comin’ left and right trying to get my number, or at least get an “hi” or “hello” from me. I always turned them down. That is until one of them caught my eye. He had to be at least 6’3. He had deep dimples that drove me crazy. He had silky hair that just made you want to play in it all day. Smooth caramel skin, that was blemish, pimple, and rash free. His name was Maurice Jones also known as “Re-Re”. He had just came from New Orleans, LA. Due to Hurricane Katrina he would be living here for a while. I loved everything about him. His swagger, his walk, his talk, hell I even loved the way he blinked. I loved his eyes especially. The way they turned from dark brown when he was mad to, light grey when he was happy. But the thing I loved about him the most was his quiet ways. If anyone asked him anything he would simply nod his head as to saying “yes” or simply shaking it as to saying “no”. I was so in love with that boy that it was pitiful. He never noticed me, which irked me at a high level. My sister Katarra thought that I was crazy for being so obsessed with a boy I hardly knew. But I didn’t care I would get Maurice Jones one way or the other. I had just pulled up into the student parking lot when I spotted him textin’ on his phone. He looked gorgeous. He was wearing a yellow coogi shirt, baggy coogi jeans that had yellow lining in them, a yellow fitten cap that had “Lil Re-Re” spray-painted in black on it. And on his feet he was rockin’ high top polo boots. “Damn” I said while bitting onto my bottom lip. “What” Katarra asked turning to face the direction I was looking in. “Who you starin’ at?” Licking my lips. “him.” I said as I pointed in his direction. “You talkin’ bout that nigga workin’ the yellow?” She questioned. “Yeah, him.” Smacks her lips, ”he alright, he don’t look better than my baby Spectacular.” she stated. “Yeah. Whatever.” I replied while rolling my eyes. “Come on let’s go meet him.” I stepped out of the car feeling and looking cute. I was wearing a baby phat blue jean skirt, that had brown && gold lining in it, with the matching brown && gold baby phat signature tee on, with my gold four inch hills on. I grabbed my gold backpack/purse and began walking toward the new boy, as katarra walked behind texing her “Boo” Spectacular. I made my way through the crowd of horny teen aged boys and hating teen aged hoes. He must have felt my presence when I approached him because he looked up from his phone and stared at me. “Hi”. I said, while trying not to faint from looking in his eyes. He didn’t say a word, he just nodded. “ Are you new to this school?” Once again he didn’t speak. Just nodded. “oh. Well I guess I’ll see you around then?” I asked. “yeah. I guess you will.” he said, sounding irritated. “alrighty then. Bye” He chunked the duce, and nodded his head. I just walked away. For him to be quiet, he sure is rude as hell. But I like it. He may not know it but his lil attitude is making me crave for him even more. I walked around the school a little until I accidentally bumped into this girl that kinda favored the new boy. Her outfit matched mine except hers was yellow. I guess her and the new boy were related. Catching my balance “Girl I am so sorry.” I apologized “I wasn’t watching where I was going.” “Lil mama its okay.” she stated, with this thick southern accent. “I wasn’t watching where I was going either.” “okay. My name is Kristin.” I stated, while extending my hand. “Nice to meet you, Kristin, my name is Brittney.” she said as she shook my hand. “You too.” I said, “Are you related to that boy who had on all yellow with the high top polo boots?” “Yeah. How did you know?” she asked “You look sort of like him” “oh, that’s my brother Maurice. We’re new, we just moved here from new Orleans.” she stated. “Aw. Because of hurricane Katrina?” I asked. “um. Yeah.” I could tell she was still a little down because of what happened to her city, so I changed the subject. We talked and got to know each other, turns out she’s in the same grade as Katarra && there the same age only Brittney is a day older. I showed he to the main office and waited on her, so that she could get her schedule. We we're roaming the halls when I spotted my sister and her big head ass boyfriend Spectacular smith . Not to far behind them was Maurice. “What’s up Kristin?” Spectacular asked, while kissing on katarra’s neck. “Yeah. Whatever.” I hissed. “Where the hell yall been katarra? Rolls here eyes. “No where damn!” she yelled, “I was outside waitin on him to pull up. Now we’re here.” “Look here you lil bi-” I got cut off by Maurice. “BiBi, where the hell you been?” He asked with his smooth deep voice. I hadn’t even realized that he was standing next to me until I turned to see who was talking. “I was trying to find yo broke ass“. she said. “Naw, you couldn’t have been trying to find me. Cus I told you to meet me back outside after you came from the bathroom. And that was at least forty-five minutes ago.” he stated. Brittney smacked her lips, “I was, but I bumped into Kristin, and she showed me to the office, so that I could get my schedule.” she stated. “aw, okay.” he said, “so who all these people is?” That’s another thing I loved about him. His grammar. That turned me on so badly. I had to stop myself from jumping on him && sexing him down right there in the hall. “This is my new best friend Kristen.” she said. “Mhm. Yeah, we’ve met.” he said with a little attitude in his voice. Sensing his attitude, “This is her sister…What’s your name?” “My name is Katarra, and this is my boyfriend Spectacular” Katarra stated “nice to meet yall.” he said politely to Katarra && Spectacular. Aint that a bitch? He didn’t say it was nice to meet me. All I got was a “Mhm. Yeah, we’ve met.” how rude is that? He gone make me act a fool in this damn hallway. He lucky he cute because I would have been went off on his rude ass. “We’ll Kristin how about you show Maurice to the office to get his schedule, while I show Brittney to her classes?” Katarra suggested . “Sure” I said, while putting on a fake smile. They turned and began to walk away, leaving me there with his crazy ass. By the look on his face I could tell that he was getting very impatient with me just standing there and not showing him any directions to the office. “Is you gone show me to the office or not?” he asked, with much attitude in his voice. “Look here, I don’t know why the hell you getting a attitude with me, I aint did shit to yo ass so you can kill the funky ass attitude!” I snapped. “I aint gotta show yo rude ass the damn office you lucky im being nice.” I said while walking away. “BRING YO ASS NIGGA!” He bit down onto his bottom lip. ”Well damn.
