Hey Val i'm here.
Oh man, beer butt chicken is so good! Or beer can chicken is another name.
I don't really have a recipe...but it's very easy.
I have a can holder that i bought at walmart that holds the can of beer and the chicken over the top. I'll see if i can find a pic online so you have an idea of what it looks like.
I just have some spices(paprika, seasoning salt, garlic powder and pepper) mixed together in a spice jar. It's just easier to shake it all over the chicken.
You butter the chicken a little bit for the spices to stick too, sprinkle spices all over, pour out 1/2 the beer, put the beer can in the holder and put the chicken over top of the can and barbque for about an hour or so.
Then enjoy! It's so tender. Let me know when ya try it.
There's probably some more detailed recipes online but this kinda an idea of what to do.

I made beer butt chicken once, but I didn't have the holder so I just tried to balance it on a tall beer can. It was super juicy and tender but needed more spices. I'm going to have to get one of those holders and try Shaylyn's spice mix!

I marinated some steaks in a red wine marinade, grilled them with some onions, made some garlic mashed potatoes and rolls. My breath will be lovely.

i went shopping this AM before i went into work so it was a fend for yourself night here.. I just got home like 45 minutes ago and have no desire to cook anything.. my schedule at work has changed some.. so my day's are long and my nights are longer.. i was asked to work in the kitchen a couple day's a week like tomorrow i go in for 8am work till 1pm... leave come home go back at 4:30 work till closing then Friday go to work at noon and work till closing again.. lunch, dinner, cocktail entertainment.. then Sat AM.. in the kitchen again for a few hours.. and never mind Tuesday and Wednesday.. those are my short day's.. 8 hour shifts.. but it's a fun place to work and i don't mind being there at all Smiler i need to go get a new crock pot.. so i can leave dinner at least a few nights while i am not here Smiler

Hubby is having a band reunion at a mexican restaurant so my daughter and myself are going to get burgers.

I'd rather have mexican, but not with the band guys.
