ME!! I stepped WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of my comfort zone....I'm not the best swimmer and I'm afraid of heights....but went para sailing with two friends anyways.

Two of my friends paid for me and another friend who also turned 50 this year to go on a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. Suzy has a trailer home in Kissimee, and Tanis lives in the same park....we stayed there before and after the cruise. We laughed, we danced, we ate ALOT, drank some, laughed, gambled a little, shopped, and slept very little. And while on the island of Coco Cay in the Bahamas, we all went parasailing. It was beautiful and exhilirating and scarey all at the same time. We didn't touch the water once!

We took off gently from the boat deck and arrived back in the same spot, gently.

Had I known turning 50 was going to be so much fun, I would have done it alot sooner!!

Next up: driving to Montreal for the Music Fest on July 3, 4, 5, 6 with 3 others.....

WO W! i don't think i would do that i would be too skeered. i don't like heights and i am way skeered of the ocean.. but good for you happy you had a great time on your trip I am going to Martha's Vineyard for the 3-6th of July i so can't wait had to hire a dog/cat/house sitter you have fun road trippin my friend.. Tony wants to rent jet-ski's over the weekend but i am all set let's rent a BOAT since they have had a GREAT WHITE SHARK sighting this month.. i am going to go to the beach of course but prolly not passed my ankles.. i am NOT SHARK FRIENDLY

I'm with you Val. I LOVE the ocean...to sit on the beach and wade through it (ankle/thigh high) but I don't like swimming in it. Let's see sting-rays, sharks, jellyfish, crabs....um..no thank you..being sucked out by the undertow....um....no thanks!!

Val, if you have the chance to Para Sail....do it, seriously. I would do it again (with a professional outfitter, not friends goofing around)....

that sounds like alot of fun. I don't remember turning 50 being so much fun. turning 40 was better.
