HEY! Guess who's turning 50 on June 12th? 3 guesses, the first two don't count!! ME! And my beloved girlfriends have paid for a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. I fly to Florida (Kissimee) with two friends and we meet up with a fourth friend who also turned 50 and is being treated to the cruise. how do you older folks with adult children handle he or she is all grown up?

when the shit was 13-16 yrs old, I wanted to beat the tare out of him and make him understand that "yeah and unhuh and or whatever" are not full sentences and damn if I didn't want him to grow up, to get him out faster...
today as I see his name it makes me realize how much I wish I could hold on to some moments just a wee-------> bit longer. And then it hits me harder.. Jamie will be 20 but my other baby is going to be 21 2 weeks later!!.. he don't need mommy no more ..least not til his woman is in the E.R screaming GET IT OUT!!! and every southern word a female would use in between..
Andy has lived on his own in a different state for 4 years now,and it was easy to let go sorta but Jamie?..that kids just isn't 100% ready.
Now is it because hes my last baby that I feel he isn't ready,just to be greedy to keep him around? or is it cause he just isn't ready?
Jamie doesn't live with me either and hasn't for the last 7 months.He lives next door
How do I let go easier..while I am menopausing??
