Hey Rob! I'm not really here for telling u about the new single. But more about: Unwell! I'm learning the acoustic version with my guitar teacher right now. Sometimes I have problems with it by the ways.. Lol
But Matchbox twenty is my inspiration! Love you! Tina
I'm Martina, 14 years old and I live in Bonaire. I play guitar for 11 months now (I love it a lot) Matchbox Twenty is my inspiration!
Rob, love ya and miss ya, can't wait for the new matchbox cd.
ask any musician and they will tell you that the first 10 or so rows are the worst sound in the venue and you can't really see the light show. those are for people who want to see my nosehairs, and i get it, i have cool nosehairs, but if you just go, you'll see that there isn't a bad seat on the floor. Originally posted by rob_thomas: hey guys. just wanted to take a minute to say thanx for all of the kind words about the new single. for everyone who didn't like it, that's alright. i know it's different but i promise that there will be plenty of stuff on this album that you'll love no matter how you feel about the song. just remember, everytime you put something out, it's a chance for you to try something new, and when you don't, that moment is wasted. i had to take 3 and 1/2 minutes out of being too self critical and trying to find the meaning in my life, to write a song that i just felt made my [*****] happy. ya know? anyway, please go easy on the people who don't like the single. it's all good. i love you guys and i'll keep you posted on all of the goings on. damn the man, rt
Dear Rob, I understand how you want to do a single for yourself just to see if you can do it. At least that's how I feel. I write novels, children's, which by the way the two teenage fairies are listening to matchbox-20 in the book, but I also write adult fiction. I think I am close to getting an agent. I really wanted to test the waters and see if I could do it and I'll be damn the man, I CAN! Seen you in concert with MB and the last one, wow was it cold outside waiting for you in KCMo. The show was great, I love your passion and I write to your songs. They inspire me because your songs wow me, the specialness you give each one. I'm old enough to be your mom, but you are still my fav. My husband paid 400.00 for two tickets for the third row front floor. It was my birthday. Damn you are expensive!
Keep on keeping and giving. Peggy Howard. I'll sign my name so you can buy my books when they come out. ha ha. Have a great time and do it now!

I sure wish we could get an update from these guys. There is a lot of good people out here who love the band and would like to hear just a peep. Matchboxtwenty.com is like a ghost town. Never anybody on the chat forum. I did join the fanclub, and all I got back was a thank you. I thought they might send out a news letter sometimes. My mistake. Would love to hear some news. PP.
