what up guys? just wanted to say hi. Marisol was on-line yesterday and was reading all of the get-wells from all of you guys. you guys are the shizzy-nitty. she's been not too well for a while now, and is on heavy steroids that can change the way she looks and feels, so she wasn't up to talking at the 80's songwriter night. she just wanted to see me and cyndi lauper play. she did feel bad that she couldn't say hi to the people that she recognized, but i told her that you would understand. i'm glad to see supporters of the Kerry campaign voicing their opinion. just because the elections over, doesn't mean you have to stop. our president is a criminal who refuses to take responsibility for his mistakes, and the fact that he won only means you need to yell louder and fight harder. in fact, take a stop by sorryeverybody.com, and make a submission.
lastly, i played a psuedo-show last night for a charity dinner. i used what is going to be most of my new traveling band, and it was not too shabby. i can't wait for you guys to hear all of the musical surprises i have in store for you. i also heard some of paul's record, and i know you're going to love it too, so, there's alot for all of us to look forward to next year. i love you guys and i hope we all see each other again soon.
damn the man,

Rob,
Sorry to see you are an extreme left wing liberal. I love your music!!- but you should leave your political views out of your wonderful talent. I hate to see you jump on the Hollywood President bashing band wagon. You and everyone like you are passing on your opinions to young people that have no idea about the history of this country. If it weren't for men like President Bush you would not be entertaining and making millions. You have the freedoms you have because brave men and women before you stood up to dictators. We must all admit that Saddam Hussain and his thugs were torturing and killing many people, not to mention he laughed in the face of the United Nations for 10 years, playing cat and mouse with arms inspectors. Since the UN will not enforce its laws. Bush is finishing what Clinton was too weak to finish.
I want to say I don't like to see war. War is very very ugly. But weak nations will fall prey to tyrants as history shows.

I want to say thanks to all the men and women that are protecting the people of Iraq and making Iraq and the world a safer place!! The majority of America is behind you, don't listen to the left wing media and hollywood. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed!!

Hey fair enough! its a good point "You have the freedoms you have because brave men and women before you stood up to dictators"...im kinda confused though how in the same breath as saying this you say rob thomas should keep his views out of his talent especially when his talent is music and this board is a link to his music- which is about expression, i doubt the people before us that stood up to dictators kept their opinions to themselves, whispering it in a corner, so why not express his opinions surely thats how progress is made?
You are worried about his influence on the young- Im not i hope this compels them to learn more about their history and make an educated decision on whats happening. Im not american so this is perhaps my lack of experiance in the US and with its people but here in the UK (where I think comparisons can be made) power and money have replaced ideology. the media can try and put the facade of morals and humanity on all of this but power is the primary concern and in tied first position is wealth. It is power and wealth that has given the Bush family this position and what they crave more of. The cost of this is more than 1500 US service personnel not forgetting all the other nations losses particularly Iraqis. We disagree and thats cool your points have made me think and I think thats always a good thing and il shut up now and give everyone piece and quite to talk about music etc but please never think i could say a bad word about the forces on the ground they face the worst conditions that I could not even begin to imagine, i have the utmost respect for them- its the people that put them in that position i question but dont expect any answer from. once again thanks for putting up this post you seem like a smart person and its cool hearing ur views thousands of miles away uv gotta love this technology! have a good weekend!

hey hey. I'm new here. I'm having a mental blockage that I am trying to clear by doing random and spontaneous things... this happens to be one of them. How boring is my life? I could elaborate, but i will spare you this time. I have spent all day in front of this computer and at my desk trying be inspired by the devine or something like that. Staring at a blank page when Rob's new song came on my iTunes, I said to myself, "Self, you should go to that website." So, here I am having found my way to your message board. Posting because I agree, this nation is in a sad state and it's up to us to fix it. *sigh* If only more people were interested in helping the world instead of developing it.

I thought you would get a kick out of this website that my brother sent to me: http://irregulartimes.com/stupid2.html
It is good for a chuckle.

peace and carrots,
missy

Hi! What I find amazing is that most republicans voiced their opinions about Clinton, who in my opinion was one of the Greatest Presidents we've had...yet, Bush Jr gets in and causes pain and dispair and everyone stands besides him demeaning ANYONE who sees reality as it is! Kudos to you Rob for standing up for what you and the majority of americans feel.

hi Rob,

Saw you and the boys live at Milton Keynes. I was already a fan but your set was intense.
You were on before Bon Jovi but I noticed loads of people(me included) who were more excited to see you guys.
I must admit that I am guilty of only owning 'yourself or someone like you', it is however one of my fave cd's.
Your live performance surpassed the record and at one point my bruv and I thought you were about to damage a blood vessel!
Well, I spose thats rock n roll.
I look forward to seeing you in England again.
Peace to you and Yours

Mark

Hello Rob! Hope all is well in your part of the world. Life is dull in the UK as we don't have any decent gigs over here....surely you can fix that for us by getting over here asap. I'll beg if i have to! I've started my Christmas shopping , buying my daughter a matchbox 20 dvd BUT the 2 of us are shamelessly watching it every night. It will be a sad day when it eventually gets gift wrapped (No-one else knows we have watched it so keep that to yourself).Anyways thanks for the brilliant music and hope theres plenty more to come in the future
