Holy HighTechnical Heroics Batgirl!!!
There's a new super hero in town!!! :  auses for dramatic effect::::sits down to tell short version of REALLY long story:: Ya see..it's been a good month since I have been trying to get online with my new computer...perhaps 12 years...or something in between.... = )~ I have talked with headquarters, super secret headquarters, our record label, NASA physicists, the red cross and a dozen or so technologically advanced societies and scientists...and nothing. Nowhere, nada. zilch, zero, nuttin') And then comes my hero.... An acquaintance of mine writes me an e-mail saying some GIRL had posted some SUGGESTIONS and perhaps I should look into them. I scratched my chin and shrugged it off as a left-wing attempt to control my thoughts and actions. I was afraid. I locked myself in a top-secret room with tin foil attached to the windows and prayed to the mechanical GODS that my machine would fix ITSELF!!! Nothing. I thought about this mysterious GIRL who had all the answers. I took another 2 hours to try to fix it myself. : uts down magic wand::I had enough. I write the aquaintice to give me the GIRL's number and brace myself as I dial her dorm room. (or whatever private world she lives in) She answers the phone...I speak, she speaks, I say I have my doubts...she laughs...I have serious concerns she is loony, after all, I am a bit loony, we exchange dialogue...I wonder if she is not a government agent, she instructs me to click a few things here, push a button there, sprinkle some magic angel pixie dust over the laptop...and we wait. We wait while I draw out the suspense of pushing the same button I have pushed for the last month...only to see I was not really logged in. I count down.... 3 2 1... ::hang on, I need to grab something to eat I say:: KIDDING I ADD!!! ZEROoooooooo ::I frantically paw at the ENTER key and stare like a little fawn looking for a piece of fresh tomato:: and then it happens.... I AM LOGGED IN!!!!! ::dancing around secret location headquarters:: ::wondering how a fawn got into my living room:: ; ) SHE DID IT!!! Who, do you ask is my savior? Who, when all others stuck their tongues out in disgust at the complexity and inconclusive results stuck her brain into my life and rescued me from being just another guy with no login capability?! I'll tell ya who.... : lacing red carpet to escort super hero into room::::drawing out scepter to knight such a humble and loyal being as any other ever encountered by man or fish:: It was JESSICA THAT's WHO!!! JessicanSarahS to be exact...and I declare the next 24 hours as.... JESSICA DA SAINT OF ALL KNOWLEDGE AND SUPER HUMAN POWERS DAY!!!! ::grabbing a fresh $10 bill as a nice tip:: ; ) Oh there will be rewards dear Jessica....you just wait...but for now...I must go with my day...look to the sky...and always remember this moment...as the day JessieDaSaint...saved me. Bless you my child of the earth...and bless you all for treasuring this moment...if not this fine super hero for which we can all be proud!! :taking deep breath:: ; ) Nice job kid! I have just found this forum after a while of trying to find some answers as to the fate of Matchbox 20. This band, along with Everclear, was the very first band(s) I started listening to when I first got into music, with the help of my sister. I did the stupid pop thing, yea, but then I settled into my own groove. I don't know what happened to the band as a whole, or if Rob Thomas is completely doing his own thing separately now, which would be an immense let down....
Let me just say that this band is phenomenal. The lyrics, the guitar, the chemistry, the mood, the way is all is tied together so perfectly.....it just blows me away on how individual each and every song is, and how much feeling and heart goes into their music. I have never been able to find a smiliar band, with as much talent and perfection, and I am not exaggerating one bit. It saddens me to think that they might be done, but I hope someone might have some answers for me as to exactly what's going on.
