hey guys. i just wanted to take a minute to let you know what's going on in our world. first, let me say that it is true that Adam won't be a part of future matchbox albums. this is in no way a statement from us against adam personally, or as a musician. i'm a music fan too, and i can certainly understand that some of you have problems with this (my mother-in-law still thinks ron wood is "the new guy") i just hope that you can all understand that we too carry a heavy heart over the prospect of changing our family around, but sometimes it's hard for five points of view to co-exist for too terribly long and this is the only way that we could see fit to carry on. more later. be good to each other.

Dear Rob,
Thankyou for coming in and sharing this sad news with us all. I am sure that it was not at all easy probably almost as challenging as the original decision. Although I am in no way implying that was your decision alone.
I feel bad for all of you and your families as these decisions are never arrived at without a certain amount of pain, consideration and loss of sleep.
I trust that we can all move on from this and get back to good as you say and I am positive that good things will come out of thist for all concerned. These are possibly the labour pains for the birth of something truely magnificent.
Looking forward to seeing you down under when you do the promo tour and the release of the album, from what I've heard and what I've read its going to be awesome.

we are going to miss Adam and in our hearts he always stays a matchstick.
