I don't know when my next rhyme will be, i'm patiently waiting on the competition so I can know how much I have to step up my rhymes, but that's fine, haste only makes waste !

This is my 2nd one for the competition. I didn't want to finish it at times 'cause it got me all sentimental.

When I got home from school "where's dad" is the first thing that came to mind/ I looked and looked but eventually I knew I was looking for something I couldn't find/ He was always there to lift me up when I was down/ But now it seems my father is not around/ I received a call later that day/ It was my mom tellen me the worst thing I ever heard her say/ She said that my dad was in the county jail/ She told me to hope and pray that he could get bail/ So I pray to the lord every night/ Askin him to forgive my dad even though he ain't doin right/ Since all this happened, you should see the stuff that's goin thru my head/ At one point I wished that I was dead/ But now I got my mind on the right track/ I promised my mom that I wouldn't end up like my grandfather, dad, and brother and that's a fact.
