Rumor is that Kim's manager was sleeping with a big player at The Source at that time. Not saying that it's true, but that's what I've read.

the source hasnt had any real credibility since the whole benzino vs. eminem beef. they lost all their credibility. i dont really pay attention to those ratings.
come on now its a good album but wtf is she talkin bout, snitches, bein real, and nuthin else its a fire album dont get me wrong but she aint talkin bout shit on it, while they give food and liquor as well as the cool 4 mics!!!! . and lupes talkin bout some real shit that deals wit the african american community and our plights, it reminds me of other social commentative artists such as marvin gaye, as well as nas, and its told in a way that is not being preachy, he will easily go down as one the most influential and greatest rappers of all time, from the execution of his flow to the way he puts words together beautifully. Lupe is truly an artist who puts thought behind his music which is why it takes more than one listen to catch everything he says and if you are not a well-read person, then you still wont get a lot of the things he says.
Some fans will never be satisfied. 4 mics is pretty good even if it from a magazine that is a mere shell of what it used to be.
