So I was just listenin... and I was thinkin.... "Down and Out" & "Overnight Celebrity" are by far Kanye's dopest beats.

What are some of your guys favorite Kanye tracks!? Mabye stuff youd like to see Kanye go back to, like a certain style of production. Or production you think he should expand on.

Cam'Ron-Down and Out
Twista-Overnight Celebrity
Consequence-Soulful
The Roc-Champions
Kanye-School Spirit
Conequence-The Good The Bad The Ugly

those are my all time favorites by him. And Id like to see him go back to that type of production.

However, when Stronger first came out, I loved that beat. So Id like to see him expand on expirementing with different samples like that A BIT.

down and out actually wasn't his beat. some guy named brian "all day" miller did it. but kanye got the credit as full producer instead of co-producer

but anyway, my list goes like this:

1. Be (Intro)
2. Get By-he also came up with the hook too
3. Never Let Me Down
4. Down And Out
5. Lucifer-that paino at the very start of the song is too sweet
6. Stronger
7. Can't Tell Me Nothin
8. Champion
9. Jesus Walks
10. Don't Forget Em
11. Hey Mama
12. This Way-Dilated Peoples
13. Let The Beat Build-Lil Wayne
14. Heart Of The City-Jay-Z
15. Used To Love U-John Legend

Here are my fav. Kanye beats, and which I think are the best (no particular order)

The Truth (Beanie Siegel song)
Be (intro Common song)
The People (Common Song)
Late (last song on Late Registration)
It's Bigger than Hip-Hop (Dead Prez song)
Don't Forget Em (Consequence song)
Still Dreaming (Nas Song)
Poppa Was a Playa (Nas song)
Grammy Family (Consequence song)
Heaven (John Legend song)
U Black Maybe (Common Song)
Flashing Lights (Graduation)

Those are my fav. I think his production style is fine, he is a talented musician.

"Life's not a bitch, life is a beotch
who keeps the villagers circling the marketplace
out searching for the G-spot
Maybe she didn't feel y'all shared any similar interests
Or maybe you're just an asshole; maybe I'm just an asshole"

"All I ever wanted was to pick apart the day
Swallow up the pieces
Spit 'em at your species
Reachin' the city of lost barnacles and leeches
Night-light got me when the daylight went to evening"

Song Cry is one of my fav beats from Kanye. Simple yet effective. And its great to see his beats evolve from that all the way to his recent hits like Stronger, Good Life, to his most current one Love Lockdown. You may not always like the lyrics in it but the beats are always official. I cant stand it when people get on him when he wants to experiment w/ different things. Then they want him to go back to what he was. Why? If he woulda stuck with the gospel-vibe, 80s sampling music he came in with, he would not be around today, and thats real talk. Any musician/artist will tell you that you have to evolve and experiment in order to become great at what you do. And if you dont appreciate that then ur free to go to the artist that won't change a thing for u until you grow bored of him.
