I wanna take the preconceived
Out from underneath your feet
We could shake it off
And instead we'll plant some seeds
We'll watch them as they grow
And with each new beat
From your heart the roots grow deeper
The branches, well they reach for what?

^^ LOL yeah.
I don't understand why you're saying that capt.

I dance to my own beat,

Lil Wayne makes garbage music. So whether his work ethic is good or not, it doesnt matter. He drops a crapload of bad music imo.

I would rather ANY artist drop a bit of good music rather then a lot of bad music. IF you have the ability to record and work as much as Wayne does, and STILL make good music, go for it.

But the fact that Wayne apparantly doesnt care enough for the quality of his music, that he just puts out the first garbage lines he spits without thinking about it or trying to improve his shit with a bit of effort, shows how much he really doesnt care for the quality of music hes puttin out.

Ah I see what your sayin' capt now.
But then again what he raps is shit and simple, so thats prob why he comes with loadsa tracks. Also like LFIn said drake prob ghostwrotes for him anyway, so thats also why he has alotta raps.

But yeah would be good if real rappers came out with that amount of music, but then again they put so much time into a bar/verse/song/album that it'd be not that good because it wouldnt be there best.

If Lupe and Blu n all the rest of em were droppin tracks daily, those tracks would more then likely either suck, or coulda been so much better if more work had gone into em.

So No I would not be pleased.

People who like Wayne just have very low standards, and or just like his music for the production. I would say thats the majority. And I could almost guarantee you, if Wayne really worked on his shit and released the best album he possibley could, instead of all this filler, his fans would love that more then droppin these tracks everday.

But Wayne has NEVER been that good, or put that much work into his lyrics, so his fans dont know how good he COULD be. If all they know is shitty music, and thats their standard, and Wayne releases shitty music all the time, then they are gonna think hes droppin the best stuff. But in reality, hes just droppin a lot of shitty music, but they are obvlivious to the fact that it could be so much better.

FACT.

The WHOLE reason I like Lupe and Blu and other of my fav artists, is because they put the work into makin quality material. Not because they are droppin sub-par shit daily.

IMO I don't think they would, they'd just like it as much, cos if they like it for what it is(currently) then their not gonna be bothered how long he puts into it. i don't think they'd see the difference.

quality over quantity my man, even if Nas dropped tons of songs like Wayne does, a good bit of them would probably be the same repetitve, boring and non lyrical crap.

Much respect for anyone who caters to their fanbase and loves what their doing. Quality over quantity is good and all unless you have wait for one new every 6 months.

Thats just plain lame if you ask me.

Plain and simple, if I could choose, Id rather choose a bunch of artists who all drop an extremely ill CD once every year or even 2 years.

Rather then a bunch of artists who drop un-developed material every weekend.

THAT is the entire reason I dont like Wayne. Not because I have some personal biased against his style, or voice, or the type of lyrics he spits.

This is like saying, whats better, freakin daytime drama's that come on T.V., with horrible acting, scripting, and everything in between. But they come on everyday. Or a movie like The Dark Knight. That has great screen writers, actors, video effects and editing teams,
filming crews, and equipment. But it only comes out every couple years.

Asking me which of the two I think is better it's quite honestly a no brainer... And asking me which of the two I would prefer is a no brainer as well...

And no, Wayne does NOT put effort into making his music good, he puts effort into getting his music out.

And yes, the MAIN reason so many people like Wayne, is because he is whats available, and accessible to the majority of people at the time. And a LARGE part of his audiance are teens as well. So alot of people dont really put thought into the fact that his music is lacking, hes just whats popular at the time, hes a fad, so everyone is going to do whats cool, and what their hearing 24/7 from their only source of music, and whats easily accessible.

Fact.

Obviously, I will give Wayne props for recording as much as he does. I do understand he works more often then alot of rappers. And I can agree that's admirable. But no, I would not want other rappers to share Waynes characteristics.

work ethic means nothing if what your giving isn't 100% effort. It is about quality over quantity right? Seriously I don't care if I only hear one album from an artist if I can listen to that album over and over again. I swear, people are greedy as hell these days.

honestly let wayne do what he wants like jay said,
"If skills sold
Truth be told
I'd probably be
Lyricly
Talib Kweli
Truthfully
I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
(But i did five Mil)
I ain't been rhymin like Common since"

We all know wayne would be capable of spitting some crazy shit and some deep stuff he decided to sit down and write down. But hes just in it for the money and to have something to do. He knows he can throw around cheezy punchlines freestyle and sell a mill, so hes going to continue to do it until if fails.

I agree with Ian and the rest of you I rather little good quality then a lot of shit. but I also agree with graffiti, a rapper cant just put out nothing.

Wayne is hardly garbage. Shit I'd argue that his verse on Hollywood Divorce is FAR more heartfelt than anything Lupe has put out.
