I can't believe this shit I'm reading. Blender magazine gave 3 out of 5 stars to Lupe's the Cool...They're saying he lost hope!
They say that him releasing only one more cd makes it sound like his career is over and "he's already been defeated!" I can't believe it and somebody needs to write to this mag. and tell 'em what's up..

I'm just stating that before people start coming in here and start going apeshit over the review.

I wouldn't say he's been "defeated", but I understan his bitterness toward the shit dealt with since becoming a recording artist. He hates the recording industry, he said mixtapes wear him out, he has been signed for seven years and is barely getting recognized, F&L was five years in the making and it got leaked, and he feels that he doesn't have much to say. I understand where they could could that impression from his statements and the album since they aren't diehards like us.

He's gotta STACK THAT CHEESE somehow...and I don't think writing a book will bring in more than his music

The Coolest... Lupe had one of the worste leaks. 1 million records downloaded... put that in perspective. Kanye sold 900k albums in first like 2 weeks. Lupe had more albums illegally downloaded then Kanye sold. Lupe only sold 400k Albums of Food and Liquor...

factually you're correct, but it's like a michael moore fact. Sure, he had more illegal downloads than kanye had records sold, but why don't you add kanye's illegal download #'s to that.

He isn't about STACKING THAT CHEESE. He just wanted his music to get heard. He knows that books aren't exactly flying off of the shelves these days either, but just wants to express himself in novel form in a way that he can't through his music. The difference between he and other artists that hate the music industry is that he's doing something about it. After LupEND Lupe Fiasco the solo recording artist will (supposedly) be done and Wasalu Muhammad Jaco the business man is taking over. His record label, his clothing company, and his writing will allow him to live a life out from underneath the recording industry h thinks is so horrible.

hurting his fans tremendously and not staying focused in the thing he loves the most...

he is not hurting his fans lol. He just said, he has nothing else to say. Would you rather him lower himself to some of these other guys level and keep makin 50 more albums that have to do more about dance moves, or snapping then about the actualy lyricism.

Lupe said himself. He hates the recording process. what he LOVES doing is performing. and hes NOT gonna stop performing he said. So if your a TRUE Lupe fan then respect him. He still has other projects hes doing. including CRS. so be thankful for what yah get. To see Lupe venture outside of just recording music. and Still doing what he really does love...Performing.

I believe that Lupe is involved in other projects....clothing line, running FNF, etc....he doesn't limit himself to only making music for the masses...he also said he would keep performing as long as the venues and promoters would have him...

I'm just saying that it pisses me off he's not gonna be making any more albums after this..I don't think it's the truth..I really think he'll continue, he's just saying this stuff like the other million artists do..I don't believe it and I think he will keep recording..

Ok, one thing I think hell do is. Mixtapes! how cool would that be? then he dont have to worry about the gayness of the recording studio.

Hell be doing mixtapes (hopefully) and still performing stage.

as far as CD's go... NO. He already said it, hes been saying it since his first album lol. He does not like the music buisness as far as recording Albums.
