I was like a huge Wayne head but im i the only one that feels this way when i say Lupe sounds like Lil Wayne through the entire track not lyrically but how he sounds. Ive listened to like all Weezy's music an when i heard The Coolest im like thats like Wayne,then when i heard Lupe spit it from his head not on paper im like Lil Wayne dont write shit down(I dont really believe THAT!) an is that how u sound jus off the dome. i agree and disagree.....methaphorical their rhymes are similar...but they talk about two diffrent things...Lil wayne has a song (its old) and it rhymes the alphabet and all the girls he messed around with (the song is disgusting and very mysagonistic) on the other hand Lupe has a song called Muhammad Walks....no comaparison THIS IS MY OPINION  "Never make someone your everything because if you lose them, you will have nothing" |

yeh... i dont hear wayne when i listen to the coolest. but thats just me. There are a few verses I like from Wayne but not a whole lot. And i dont like Wayne as an lyricist. cause the majority of his songs and raps are lame to me. I think the best Wayne rap IVE HEARD is on "we taken over" that was pretty dope... even though i hate that songs guts.

people say Wayne is good cause his punchlines. but to be honest, i dont even think they are that clever. But, to me, Kanye West is dope with the punchlines, and dude has some funny stuff. like his "The Late Mixtape" mixtape was dope. I love Kanye. Kanye Lupe, and Common are my favorite rappers. cause they all make good music, but they each have a different style of rappin.

I cant respect LIL WAYNE's craft. If you even wanna call it that. Sure he has some nice lines here and there but I dont know if he has written them. It has been proven that he had a ghost writer, Gillie Da Kid. People say that LIL WAYNE IS THE BEST. I don't remember the songs man but I know he used the "faucet" line on the cd with Methodman. I heard him use the Lu Kang kick and Tarzan lines in one of his older cds. It just sounded familar to me and I heard some of those lines come from Redman, that crap is old and I'm sorry I can't cite it for you. Most lines I hear in rap today aren't anything that haven't been said before by previous artist. That is why I like Lu, he is consistantly putting stuff out there that you have never heard befor. And I understand as a rapper that it is hard to say things that haven't already been said in some kinda way. That is why hip hop is wack and is going down, because the artist is just recycling other peoples stuff.

Ok..Ok. Lets be for real here. Now Lupe is my favorite rapper hands down. But I have to give lil wayne his props. He has dope rhymes whether you like him or not you do have to respect him for that. Now I dont agree with some of the things he talks about in his song, but after lupe it is weezy as far as lyrics go. Not kanye, cassidy, the clispes or who ever else you think is in the category. Lil wayne makes most of his music for the hood and say things that alot of people in the hood like to hear,and thats why most people dislike him because he really isnt a positive rapper. And there is no one on lupes level in my opinion, but for the rappers who rap about what waynes talking about, lil wayne is the best at what he does. I think they are alike, by the way the both can swithch up their styles of rap (like fast and slow). But lil wayne does have the best lyrics after lupe hands down
