Hey all, first post and I'm looking for some advice. I live in DC and am coming up for the concert next month in NYC (governors island). I'm not familiar with the city and am looking for some input about where to stay. I was thinking either Manhattan or Brooklyn. Brooklyn bridge Marriott looks nice and you can see Manhattan skyline from your room, but are there good clubs/bars within walking distance from the hotel? And is it a relative walk safe for me and my wife? I think Brooklyn would be more live than Manhattan, plus the hotel is about $100 dollars cheaper. I can catch the ferry from either place. I need a New Yorker's opinion here. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks- P
