Its Monday, so you ALL should have seen Batman by now. Post your thoughts here.
I personally find it to be my new fav hero movie. Batman Begins used to be, but this is even better. More realistic, much deeper conflicts, internal and external. Just overall excellent movie. The Joker was so good in here too, as well as the entire cast. Only complaints I really have with the movie however, is I think Maggie Gyllenhaal is ugly as hell so I coulda done without her. And I wasnt feelin Two Face's whole terminator vibe (in his facial appearance). His make up coulda been done so much better and more realistic I personall think. Other then that, awesome movie, and if you havent seen it. GO SEE IT!  |

Saw it in Imax. Woke up at the ungodly hour of 5 AM for it too. Shit was CRAZY.
I thought Heath Ledger would be too big to play joker, to me the joker is a skinny lunatic. But i completely forgot about that cuz he KILLED IT. "Evening commissioner" - pure Joker. He had me laughin out loud. Definitely stole the show. I too did not like Maggie Gyllenhaal. Much woulda perfered the last girl. Christian Bales overt attempt to change batmans tone from Waynes was slightly annoyin. I dont like the actin of the guy that played 2Face but I dont have any real complaints bout his performance here. Overall 5 star shit. I would watch the shit again in theaters. greatest fucking movie of all times.
and to the person that said he won't watch it cause he didn't care for batman, well same here...... until I watched batman begins like last week, which set up the dark knight PERFECTLY. seriously, batman was my least favorite superhero, but this movie is more than just another super hero film, its a masterpiece.    |

I gotta say too, I love the work this director (Christopher Nolan) does. I loved The Prestige (also one of my top 10 movies), Memento, Batman Begins, just about all his work.
But man I love how he sets the tone for every climax. Like he really gets you on the edge of your seat when he wants too, suspense wise. SPOILER ALERT! (Do not read if you have no seen the movie) Like when Two Face had Gordon's son and was bout to do away with him, everyone was like "oh shit...". Just a crazy moment. (and I honestly thought he was gonna shoot him, which personally I woulda preferred. That woulda made the scene so much more intense and just all out crazy. But even so, still a great climax.) But maann... when joker had the dudes caught in the two boats with the detonators. I honestly thought when the guy on the civilian boat who took the detonator and was gonna press it, I thought it was gonna blow up the civilians own boat, then Joker would prove some moral point or some crap. Anyway... Im seein this movie again...in IMAX!!! |

automatically one of my favorite movies of all time. Just when I was starting to give up on Hollywood after seeing Hancock. Dammit, did Heath Ledger play the Joker or what? That speech he gave about "I'm like a dog chasing cars.....wouldn't know what to do when he caught it." Absolute gold! Definite lock for an Oscar. yeah the boat scene was too intense, so many outcomes and all of them were racing through my head throughout the scene. Great to see Deebo again but depressing to see him playing the same role he always plays: a prisonmate. Question: Do you think Harvey Dent/Two-face is really dead? He kinda went out in a lame way? ------------------------------------ I can feel it like Phil/ That explains the chill/ I know i got the right case i aint taking the deal/ An evolution of new rappers, breaking free/ To put hiphop back where its supposed to be/ |

and this movie is straight up unbelievable....lived up to my expectations and then surpassed them like i didnt think possible....heath ledger MURDERED this role and in fact had me so upset about his untimely passing...the prospect of sequels and bringing back his character was endless...it could almost go on forever between the 2...its a shame... and if they ever EVVVVVVVVEEEERRR try to bring in someone else to play the joker in future movies....just, no.... and i dont think two-face is dead...because if i recall he is the one who kills robins parents...so how can that ever happen if he is dead....but that may not be how it happens in the comics....iunno... |

2.) That chick was ugly as shit, I'm glad the Joker tricked Batman 3.) His voice did get annoying lol Just like the fucking transformers movie... with the belittling of Afro-Americans when in this case the Joker was seen personally killing Black people in the movie!!!!!!!!! Majority of them that is (except for the bus driver and the fat Batman) Its still one of the better movies I've seen in a while lol 93/100... ITS RACISM MAN THEY JUST BE CONCEALING IT. I say DC makes up for their Superman (who has simply WAY too many powers and a character that shoulda stayed in the past) with Batman. Batman has no powers, he uses intelligence. Yeah he uses the devine dollar... but still. Besides in that sense he kinda like Iron Man.
