I've been a fan of Lupe since Kick, Push. Matter of fact, I'm a female, but I love video games. So I was sitting back playing against my brother, it was a basketball game we had and Kick, Push was playing. I was like woah, hold up, someone is flowing and I love the way the beat is going where its not too loud or too soft where you can't even hear what he's saying. I'm like who is this?! He was like, you don't know who Lupe Fiasco is?! I was like nope, but I just became a fan!!! So when The Cool came I went to the store to go buy it. Here in Arkansas, there is no rap around here, nothing real and inspirational what so ever. They rather listen to 3 6 Mafia, Yo Gotti, Wayne, and to me all that equals bullshit. Sorry for the profanity. So as I walk around with the album, I remember a while back and this is still going on today. At times, I know the artist don't have anything to do with who design their clothing, album art, etc. Why is everyone saying Lupe worship the devil because of some type of demonology art on The Cool?! I don't see it, but all I'm saying is, to me, when a rapper speaks knowledge he gets put down but as long as people keep nodding they're heads to these wack ass twist beats talking about how much drugs they sold, how many ***'s they F***'d and so on and so on. You can walk outside and see someone get shot, you can walk outside and see our youth put dime bags in their backpacks and sell that on school campus, they're trying to live a life of a wannabe superstar and half of these things these rappers are slurring is a million sold copies of lies. I wish I could get on B.E.T. one day and say, what happened when Tupac said peep the lyrics instead of the beat, cause half the ish that be coming out these rappers mouth isn't even real. They daydreaming lol. I don't know what it's going to take for people to realize that you need to appreciate an artist like Lupe and be grateful that we have him in our generation. I wish he would come to Arkansas because I would be there!! To be honest, our society is going down and the music that we filled our ears to will soon make or break us. Lupe I hope you continue to make great music even after you retire, post it on your site or something lol, cause I listen to your songs everyday. I'm still trying to figure out the message fully behind the majority of them. To me, Lupe you are the best and do not let no one tell you different. At the end of the day, its not about how many records you sold, but the message you send.
