You robably won't ever read this, but what better place to post it than your message board and your website right?
I am a college freshman and throughout high school the only thing that kept me remotely sane was the idea that music was my heart and that if that was true I would never be heartbroken. That isn't the truth anymore though. I recently saw you perform at love where you announced again that you were going to be doing ONE LAST ALBUM, which of course broke my heart. I don't listen to alot of hip-hop but you are certainly amazing. You inspire me to think and challenge myself in class as well as understanding love and politics. so as sad as I will be when that last album drops I am grateful for the masterpieces that I own in your name thus far and I am pretty sure that they will hold me over for a lifetime. The definition of pain is the realization of a love lost |

Before Capt comes and flames you (which is inevitable) let me say that I agree with your feelings on Lupe. As much as I hate to see the dude not make music anymore, I will appreciate what he's already done and tae it for what it is. For all we know, we coulda never had Lupe Fiasco to begin with. The dudes a human, and wants t continue his life in a different direction. I know personally that this happens a lot in life. You never stic with something forever, as much as you might say that is is the thing you were meant to do. Lupe wants to find greener pastures and I applaud the dude.

well jay-z should of retired.. he made the black album which is a great album ... and then came back and made two mediocre albums and to me put a dent in his legacy.. if he retired after black album he could be in the argument for a top 3 spot ever to me now just in the top 10 1.)Rakim 2.)Nas |
||||
|
i hope that nigger retires
|

I would rather hear 'em say that he'll just be making an album every few years...I think that is more realistic, music always seems to pull you back in anyways so will see what happens but Lupe's (and also some others

Yeah, it is kinda hard to believe that Lupe will retire. How can you make something a part of your career and drop it completely, not touching it at all? That seems like a difficult feat to do. But at the most, he may not do any big projects, but he may do like free online tracks or something.

hahahahaha *sigh* ------------------------------------------------------------------------- And a woman spoke, saying, "Tell us of Pain." And he said: Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain. And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy; And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields. And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief. Much of your pain is self-chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity: For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen, And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears... --Khalil Gibran (from The Prophet) http://myspace.com/dabudunkadunk plz quit askin me dumbass questions about the URL. just add me. shit! email: cshields90@yahoo.com AIM: trulygemini90 and that pretty much covers my internet contact info... |
