Ok...so i don't think there's anything on here like this yet...

Here's a thread where all of us Halestormers can share past memories from kickass concerts that aren't necessarily Halestorm concerts...

I'd like to start of with the most recent concert I've been to...Strain Busy Sky, Mae, and Yellowcard! SBS is a local band from Chicago, that apparently plays at the HOB all the time...check them out! Help a good cause!

www.strainbusysky.com

Anywho...Mae was a bit of a letdown...they weren't that great on stage, but I LOVE their album!

And finally...Yellowcard...wow...
Any band with an electric violinist that does backflips on stage, they're destined for HUGE things!! They put on one of the best shows I've ever seen...period...

THE END!

C'mon guys! I'd love to hear about some other amazing concerts!

Nightwish and Lullacry at the Worcester Palladium in MA on August 20th of 2004. There *still* aren't words to express their live performance. I got a bit of attention from Lullacry as I was the only one up front who knew who they were and was singing every one of their songs. And Nightwish...well, they're Nightwish. Unfortunately recent events have, shall we say, tainted their legacy. I cried during their set and didn't even notice it and left the Palladium shaking. They were that good.

And in response to that, I recently saw LOURDS in Brooklyn and they absolutely floored me. I've known about them for awhile but now that I've moved to NYC, I took it upon myself to check out a live show. Their lead singer, Lourds Lane, not only sings with everything she has, but she alternates between playing electric guitar, violin and mandolin. At the beginning of the set, she cut her thumb open somehow and was bleeding all over the place. I had to smile and think of Lzzy there...If anyone ever gets the opportunity to see them, definitely do it.

I saw Bush do a concert in Ft. Lauderdale about 5 years ago. Gavin Rossdale (though most know him as Gwen Stefani's husband) was like my idol.

I was towards the top of this indoor auditorium. Bush was putting on such a superb concert and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Gavin hops off the stage and into the crowd. To my memory, he didnt have any security with him or anything. He went around that WHOLE damn auditorium singing his ass off and somehow ran through the row behind me!! Just amazing how he went all over the auditorium with the fans. Couldn't have been any better and I will NEVER forget it. Smiler

I've heard of them! I remember adding them on myspace because of the female musician/strings combination....not to mention because their music rocks!

Amazing...i don't think anyone would ever get tired of that...the lead singer of Styx did the same thing at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, so did Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Dave Grohl during the Foo Fighters set! That show was fucking unbelieveable!
