Well I just found this thread- too bad I missed it before! Great post as usual, Lzzy. I love your comment about the other sometimes overlooked characteristics. I never really thought of wrinkles that way!! Very cool. It's so refreshing to hear someone say it's okay be the weight/look you are and not have to change to try to make it to some unreachable, unhealthy goal. You rock, Lzzy, plain and simple. Thank you.

You pretty much took the words that any of us could want to say about how stupid and superficial and material our world is getting, and you said it better than any of us could've.

You keep thanking us for being around, but I'd like to thank you for being loyal to your fans, and for being our voice. Sometimes it's tougher for the common-people to get our voices out there...it's refreshing to have a rocker who really cares and shares our views!

I'm glad when I find bands that share your thinking. Back before I discovered rock, my parents and grandmother would always tell me I was fat,and I even had friends in middle school trying to give me makeovers like it would make any difference. I felt so embarrassed when I had pounds of make up on my face and looked like a clown. At 16 years old, like the shinedown fan, i became a Green Day fan with their song, "minority." It's amazing how a song could be so life changing. I tore down my britney spears posters and everything that gave me a negative influence. Since 6 years of becoming a rock fan, I love how GD led me other AMAZING role modles like you saying individuality is sexier than any supermodel on the cover of Cosmopolitan!
