So this may be old news, but for those of us who don't know, could you tell us about how you all got started together? I mean, you and Arejay probably started out jammin' together in the garage eh, but how did you meet Joe and Josh and when did they join up? And any other interesting tales you want to share would be awesome.
Peace |

Hey, Thanks for inquiring.
Arejay and I birthed the band "halestorm"in 97...officially started gigging around regionally in 98. He's been my partner-in-crime for almost 9 years now. We had been, for a few years, through a barrage of young members. Joe has been in the band for 3 years...Josh for two. We lost our last set of guitar/bass around the holidays 2002/2003,and ended up taking some time off to write. Arejay and I started auditioning members after about 6 months of experimenting, and honing our sound. Joe auditioned in June 2003. Josh joined about a year and a half after that, starting as a temp, then permanently. I've never been more satisfied with a line up, then I am now. These boys are my brothers (and one literally). We are a family. That's how we roll! Lzzy |

Most excellent! Thank you for taking the time to respond! And so far I have only seen pictures of you in concert, but you can see the bond between you all and you definitely have a great group of men backing you up. I think you and Arejay made solid choices on the latest additions. The more I listen; the more I hear the intracasies of their sound. Match that with your outstanding vocals and unmatched vocal range and of course Arejay's primal backbone and you have an awesome sound destined for future greatness. I'm so glad I found out about you in the semi-early stages of development and can't wait to see you all perform live; and hopefully get a chance to meet you. You all are very talented individuals and jam together nicely as a group! Hope the tour is going well.
Peace, Timo |

Dear Zombie...
Congrat's darlin'...I wish all the love and luck in the world. It's the best job ever. I don't know how helpful I will be.. but I will do my best. 1. There's somethin' to be said for just keeping it up. Keep moving forward. Don't get discouraged when things are wacked out...this is the music biz, and now and forever will be "wacked out". Keep your focus and don't quit after the dreaded "3 year mark". I saw so many good bands give up after 3 years. 2. Find members that you truly love like family, and who share your vision. Arejay and I when though a few bassists and guitarists before we found Josh and Joe. They are my brothers/husbands in a way. Being in a band is a lot like marriage too, and just as much of a roller-coaster ride! 3. Be as self-sufficient as you can! The more you can do by yourself and the more you learn on your own...the more likely you will have a clue about what's going on in your career. And quite possibly have more control over it. Especially if you are getting involved with management/lawyers/ labels etc. The less you need to depend on an outside source, the better. 4. And lastly.... Don't be afraid to evolve.. but keep focus and don't let someone change you completely. Let people help you. But, in my opinion it is better to fail with dignity, doing something you love, then to become a millionaire while pretending to be someone else to fit the frame. Everyone seems to be hung up on the fact that everyone must fit into a genre or a mold or a style. Whatever happened to just doing your thing... doing what you love...and it being GOOD. I still believe that everything in this business is constanly evolving and there are still people that will listen and push good, honest, real, passionate music..even if it doesn't sound like anything they've ever heard or unproven. Ha.. I hope you enjoyed my rant at 6:37 am. The guys and I have been recording and mixing demos all night.. I still have yet to see my bed. Good luck Zombie Chick!! Hope to share the stage with you someday! Keep us up-to-date with all of your happenings!! Lzzy |
