We are on our way!!! It was a small problem, after all,... and the kind folks in war-torn Mississippi pushed us up, a bit, and figured out the problem. They had originally told us that they would not be able to help us until Monday... but today, they pulled the RV into the shop, diagnosed the problem fast, and then proceeded to fix it!!! WHAT AN AMAZING AREA OF THE COUNTRY... SUCH KIND WONDERFUL PEOPLE... Who did not deserve the cards that were delt them during Katrina. But, for sure, you can betcha that they are taking good care of each other... and even took amazing care of us "out-of-towners"!!! All of us are humbled beyond anything we would have ever imagined.

I agree Jen, it seems like all you hear about in the media are the "bad" people and not the ones we should be hearing about- those who are doing good. Have a great show tonight, guys and gal!!

I hope you were able to get in and see the show - it was absolutely incredible. I'm a new HaleStorm convert, and their set just blew me away. Why they were the lead-off and not in a position of more prominence I'll never know - they certainly blew the socks off of Mercy Fall.

Greetings all...

I didn't make the show in Columbia (even though I'm just 2 hours away in St. Louis), I was prepping for another big "radio-fest show" on Sat. up here in St. Loser! LOL! Anyway.....

The reason I'm posting this is, for the 2 people above who wondered why HALESTORM was the leadoff band and not further down the line. Truth be told, the 1st and 2nd bands "usually" have a rotating spot. One night they'll be on first, the next night... they're 2nd, and so on. I'm willing to bet that both had the same amount of stage time too. 25 minutes, maybe? You have to remember, this is the 1st major label (Atlantic Rec.) release for both HALESTORM and Mercy Fall.

All of this comes from Tour Mgmt and record label. It has NOTHING to do with Shinedown and/or Trapt, so don't blame those guys! In fact, alot of times... they are doing the same thing! Co-headlining shows where they trade off which band is the closer for the night. However, I know this is Shinedown's tour, so obviously they close the show every night on this tour. The only flipside to that coin would be, if they would pass thru Trapt's hometown (not sure where that is)... THEN, I've seen the headliner give the closing spot to the 'other' band. It's THEIR hometown, THEIR crowd! It's a common courtesy among many bands.

Speaking of Shinedown (I know this is a Halestorm board!), I got to spend some real quality time with them in their dressing room after their set here in St. Louis late Saturday night. What a cool bunch of guys and from what I gathered, Jasin (lead gtr), got quite hammered on Tequila Friday night in Columbia! Eeker What did you people do to him!?! Ha ha ha!! Aside from Jasin being horizontal on the couch after their set, MY highlight was to watch Brent from Shinedown and Chris from Trapt, sit and totally dissect how they were going to "share a Shinedown song". They were working thru the whole idea of each standing on one side of the stage and doing the big 'Braveheart' thing, dividing the crowd... just to bring them back together at the end of the song. Who was going to sing what verse, how they would split the chorus apart, and even working out harmony parts! I sat there in gleeful silence as a 3rd wheel (so to speak) and watched as these 2 seasoned singers were collaborating on how to join together, not only for themselves... but for the people in the audience! My only input was at the start of the discussion. Brent threw out 4-5 songs ('Save Me' being one) on which Chris could join in... Chris was willing to do ANY of them. That's when I chimmed in and looked Brent dead on and said, "Save Me bro'... that's the one with loads of potential for something like this." He smiled and nodded at me and continued with the dissection. About 30 minutes later, they come full circle back to 'Which song can we do this on?'. They settled on "Save Me". It made me smile... Smiler

Having said all that! I'm am UBER glad to hear that HALESTORM is back on the road again!! MEGA-PROPS to those in Mississippi who helped them get back on their feet, even though those fine folks are still up to their kneecaps in mud. (Sidebar: THIS Gov't is so FUCKED!) I feel especially happy for those of you in Columbia who, either got to see/hear them for the 1st time... or were able to catch them again. Lzzy & Comp. are a very talented, very young group (Lzzy is only 22. Robert Plant was only 19 when he started touring!) and they have a bright future ahead of them. I myself, can't wait until I have the oppurtunity to see them once again AND hopefully... I'll be able to get a full-on interview next time around!

I too have pics from their performance on the Sno-Core Tour from back in Feburary... just haven't gotten around to posting them to the website yet. HEY! I'm a busy guy! When they're done... I'll announce it here. Coo? Cool!

You all be SAFE on the road!! Thanks & Rock On... \m/

Hey ya'll...so yeah..I was all set after work to go to the show and my friend calls me...the one that was gonna give me the ride and she was gonna go with me. Cause when I got home from work I got a sweet email from someone(THANK YOU BUNCHES) letting me go plus a friend...well, my friend all of a sudden said that she wanted to hang with her boyfriend instead...YIPPY..Now I can't go..was my thought. I called everyone I knew that would want to go..but they were all busy...grrrr...I guess this was just not ment to be and Rockfest is just gonna be 10X better for me.

I hope Columbia treated you guys very kindly and you come back sometime soon. I've heard from several people that went that they loved you guys and can't wait for more Halestorm. I just can't wait for ROCKFEST!!!!
